I NEVER used Evernote, what I am missing? It seems to be like Google Keep.
Report
@byoigres You didn't miss anything. I recently moved to Google Keep too.
Report
@byoigres I use both. Evernote has a lot of features missing from Keep, such as native software on different OS platforms, cross-browser plugins, OCR scanning (business card scanning is a must for me). I do love keeps masonry note layout.
Report
@byoigres For note taking, keep is more concise and easier to use. Now Evernote is far more robust. Its better for building complete documents, saving, linking and finding references, business card scanning and document scanning, and SO MUCH MORE. I created all the documents for my whole course through evernote, since its just so much easier to edit, share and create on the go.
@byoigres definitely different. I use the Chrome clipping extension to save articles online, in their nice Simplified mode. More effective than just bookmarks. That would be overkill in Keep. You can also make Stacks, which is a group of notebooks (folders)
This redesign is brilliant. I've been using Evernote since 2012, and over the years it's become my go-to tool for organizing and remembering just about everything. So glad I can finally filter notes by notebook / tag(s) simultaneously in iOS!

The update 'looks' good BUT... I rely on my Shortcuts and Recent notes, which WERE on the main default screen.
Now, I have to open the app, and click Shortcuts each time. I know it is only 1 extra tap, but still frustrating.

I've used Evernote for the last 9 years. It's the one tool I can honestly say my life would be worse off without. Or at least would be the hardest to adjust to if I replaced with Bear or another alternative out there. Evernote is an extension of my forgetful brain. It seems to be in-vogue to hate on them the last couple years, but it's just as solid a product as it's ever been for me. So if it ain't broke...
Pros:
-Add notes from everywhere: webclipper, ios, android, email, etc. Unlimited formatting options. Reminders option for notes.
Cons:
Search - Even on Premium this is ok, but always room for speed / consistency improvements. Lack of major new features
Cool new design. I jumped ship recently to OneNote because of Evernote's controversial TOS, privacy concerns and lack of free multi-device support. 😪

Nice to see improvements, but I recently switched from Evernote to dynalist. They offer a much nicer UI that makes it far easier to keep notes organized, quickly
Using Evernote since 2012. Have been a companion to keep important stuff. The iOS app was a pain to edit and to add and play files like voice notes. Still isn't perfect, but it's a good improvement.
