I'm Manish, founder of @Flexprice . After spending over couple of years building billing systems, I’ve felt this pain deeply: building products is getting easier, but charging for them is still hard.
Modern AI and API-first products need usage-based pricing, credit systems, free tiers, and feature access but implementing all of that feels like starting a second startup just to manage billing 😅.
We tried everything like Stripe Billing, Chargebee, and a few newer tools but none truly solved our needs beyond basic subscriptions. Eventually, we built our own billing system from scratch. It took us over 6 months and still felt like a never-ending cycle of bugs and edge cases.

Looks awesome, really well-polished it seems. I'm a big fan of Resend / Linear, seems like you took a page from their playbook and made this product super accessible for devs and I love it. Definitely solves a pain point that all builders have had. Is it mainly built for indie hackers?

Can you talk about what the open source version has to offer, how it differs from the managed version?

Hey @abhishek_arora4 our open-source version is designed to make it super easy (and free!) for indie hackers, early-stage teams, or developers to quickly integrate metering, billing, and basic pricing workflows into their products.
The managed cloud version builds on that by offering advanced workflows (like automated credit top-ups, custom payment rules), scalability to handle large volumes, built-in security, compliance (ISO, SOC2), and role-based access controls out of the box - basically everything you'd want as your product and customer base grow.
