Forms.id is a simple, privacy-focused alternative to tools like Google Forms and Typeform. Users no longer have to risk sharing their data with evil corporations and can ensure that the privacy of both the creator and the respondent is upheld.
It sounds inspiring but what I didn't like:
- for me it was too much answers before registration - I am not used to having more questions in the start than put email and create password. Maybe put all other actions after registrations? Because I am just registered and even don't know what this service is about but I have to create domain& choose the storage.....
- click to edit label doesn't work I mean when you clicking the text stays
Click to ennnit label...
@nikjara Thank you so much for trying out the product, Nikiara. The registration process you experienced is part of the Blockstack onboarding process. With your Blockstack ID, you can use any app that is part of the Blockstack ecosystem. Blockstack is the framework that enables some of the security and privacy features in our platform.
We can definitely explain this portion of the platform, better. 😃
Hello everyone! I'm Bryce, the developer of Forms.Id . Thanks for checking out the product 😃
Forms.id was built because I am displeased with the business model of large software organizations : the sale of private, user data. Every piece of data that passes through Google's tools is a piece of data that can be sold or used to control and/or affect your attention. It is time for users to regain control of their data by using software that values them. Forms.id is powered by Blockstack, a technology stack that assists in just that.
The tool allows users to create simple forms and surveys that can be shared with a simple link. All responses are encrypted and only the owner of the form can decrypt and view the data. Data can currently be exported to an Excel file.
Please let us know how this tool can be better improved for your use, or if you have any questions about the product!

@thebryc3isright Hey, I was wondering if you're thinking of whitelabeling this product for commercial use?
@itai_neter While not in an explicit roadmap, our strategy would include potentially whitelisting the product, and/or providing more powerful features for business/enterprise customers.
Very interesting, just curious how can it encrypt data so that only end user can decrypt it? That would be logical if all data is entered by that user, but with many users... how?

After the initial overhead of registering with blockstack , this was very easy to use to create a form, good work - and the regaining of secure privacy of data is fantastic. I would start to use it immediately but for one thing... How do I invite people to use it? I tried to find an 'invite participants' button, using both Firefox & Chrome browsers (running on windows 10) but without success.
Thanks and keep up the good work, Chris.
Hi @thebryc3isright
Does this tool still work and do you have a whitelisted version of it?
I really enjoy the thought process put into this: Putting privacy first for the creator and the respondent.
