Glasshand gives your AI agents real iPhones and Macs to work on. Connect Claude Code, Codex, or any other agent, and it can rent a device with a single prompt. The hardware sits in our data center, and your agent uses it the way you would: posting on TikTok, booking an Uber, or building and testing iOS apps. Each device is yours alone for as long as you rent it. When you’re done, we erase your data and factory-reset it.

Hey everyone. I’m Trevor, creator of Glasshand.
We’re the team behind Solid, from MIT, Berkeley, and Waterloo. We’ve raised $6M to build toward one goal: agents with human-level autonomy.
Agents are already smart enough for most of what you’d ask them to do, but a simple task on a phone can still leave yours waiting for you to open an app and tap a few buttons.
So we built Glasshand to give your agent hands of its own: real iPhones and Macs in our data center, not emulators or virtual machines. Now your agent can use Apple apps and services, including iCloud.
That puts your agent inside the Apple ecosystem, with access to Apple’s apps and services. It can develop iOS apps on a Mac and test them on a physical iPhone, book rides on Uber, post on TikTok and Instagram, or sign in to your iCloud account and use it the way you would.
Because these are real iPhones, you can even add an eSIM plan with SMS and mobile data. That gives your agent its own phone number and cellular connection, so it can get verification codes on its iPhone without waiting for you to pass them along.
Glasshand works with any agent. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or whatever you already use can rent an iPhone and a Mac from our platform through our API.
Each device starts clean and is only yours for the length of your subscription. You set the password yourself, and we can’t see it. When you’re done, we erase your data and factory-reset the device.
Happy to answer any questions here.
@tkeith How would you test a QR scanner on an iPhone sitting in a rack? That's the one part of our check in app i'd have to figure out.
@vipul_kumar1280 Great question - we don't have support for this yet, but we're developing a way to present images/videos to the iPhone cameras. Would you want back camera, front camera, or both?
@tkeith Both option sound interesting! I think supporting both front and back cameras would make the feature more flexible across different use cases. Looking forward to seeing how you implement it!
@tkeith @amrita_prajapati2 that would be so cool! Unfortunately we can't do that for data security. But if you stop by our SF office we could take you to a physical tour :)
@tkeith Can I sign in to the App store myself and then give the agent control? I'd like to keep the password out of the chat.
@aryan_mehta6 Yes! You can interact directly with the mac/iphone and hand over control to your agent whenever you want. Also, you don't need to use our agent - you can use whichever model you trust the most.
@tkeith That's a great approach! Giving users direct control over the device while keeping sensitive credentials private makes the experience much secure and flexible.
@tkeith congrats on the Lunch! What was the first thing you asked the agent to do once you got it tapping around on an iPhone?
@tkeith @sandeep73 for me it was to scroll tiktok so I don't have to
Which iPhone models can you rent? I've got a layout I'd want to check on a smaller screen.
@ibitekukie Right now, iPhone SE 3rd gen. We'll offer a variety soon. What models would be most useful?
@ibitekukie right now we’re using iPhone SE but if you have a specific requirement, we can also get that for you
How do I get a video from my laptop onto the rented iPhone? That's the first thing I'd need for a Reel.
@irving_ai you can just tell your agent (claude code, codex, cursor or anything). The agent can send over the video to the phone and post it.
so is this like using one icloud in 2 device one will be used by agent and I will use it the same time ? you said we can add eSim a new number or the same will be used ? if I want the agent to reply to my contacts same number is better but how is that possible - just curious to know
@harini_mukesh
- yes it's like you have another phone logged into your icloud account.
- you can add a new eSim to your glasshand phone, but that won't be your real phone number.
- you can reply from your imessage account or whatsapp so it will still be from you!
shoot us an email at hello@glasshand.com if you have more question!
The eSIM part surprised me most. Which countries can the number be from? I'm asking because some services get picky when the number and the account are from different countries.
@artemkorchunov It's your phone you can get any eSIM cards from any country :) It's just like you can put any eSIM card on your phone when you travel to that country.
@artemkorchunov @riley_ss To add to this - if you have an eSIM you want installed, I'd suggest telling your agent:
"Install this eSIM on the phone: (paste the blob of esim activation details here)"
The provider will give you those details when you buy the esim. Or, if they just give you the QR code, give that QR code to the agent - it will understand it.
If you don't yet have an eSIM, my strategy is to tell my agent "Go buy an eSIM for less than $20 and install it on my glasshand iphone"
If I bring my own Claude account, am I paying Glasshand just for the device?
@alexia_li yes, you can totally use your own Claude account! You just pay for the device that's hosted in our data center. You start with a clean device, and you don't share the device with anyone. After your subscription, we erase the content and factory reset the device.
Congrats on the launch! One quick question, what happens when I switch between agents? Can Codex pick up on the same phone I was using with Claude Code?
@xwang146 yes totally if you log into the same Glass Hands account you will have access to the same device
