Disappearing tasks is an old concept invented for the digital age. No more ten level nested tasks and task dependencies, just a list for today. YOLO (you only list once) is new critical path :)
Pros:
Fun to do app that creates an incentive to complete.
Cons:
If only it had the feeling of physically scratching off an item on a list
Hey there! I built Gone out of the attempt to create more incentive to finish day-to-day tasks. Typically, I find myself creating a reminder in Reminders.app or Notes.app, but when a task can sit there past its deadline, there was a want for something more.
Gone was built from start to finish this past weekend, and I kept it dead simple. Just add tasks, and they'll expire 24 hours after adding them. There's a little progress bar for each task showing how much time has elapsed, and even night mode by toggling the moon icon in the top right :)
Let me know your thoughts! This was meant to be a fun side project that I hope will help people keep track of and finish their daily tasks.

I have used all of them... To Do List Apps. This is great because its so simple. I also have the ongoing problem of having 37 overdue tasks whenever I open one of these apps because I either forgot to cross them off or they were trivial tasks that didnt get done.
I love this idea. Focus on the next 24 hours.
However, as it IS a website. I cannot access or add offline....
Pros:
Simple interface, Less GTD more GTDRIGHTAWAY
Cons:
No way to access offline, no way to see what tasks you've missed.

Hey @jsngr 👋 This is a great app, nice work. I'd like to see a feature with a weekly progress report, so my tasks dissappear but I can see a metric - '70% increased efficiency', measuring how effective I've been in clearing my tasks before they expire. If implemented with the right UX, I see this being a great idea for a paid feature as well.

Love the simplicity of the site as a whole! The signup process was so easy as-well. Great site, will be using it a lot :)
The whole point of a list of things to do is that they stay that way.
Pros:Not tried it yet. I don't need more stress creators like this.
Cons:I don't need a tool whose memory is worse than mine.

The 24 hr clock is really cool. No more backlogging tasks. Works well for me everyday! @jnsgr 🙌
Pros:Clean, simple & beautiful.
Cons:None
