JumprAI lets you search inside YouTube videos using AI. Instead of scrubbing through timelines, just describe what you want (“funniest moment,” “setup tutorial”) and jump straight there. It uses semantic search to understand meaning, not just keywords. Works automatically on videos with captions, integrates smoothly into YouTube, and keeps your data private. And it's totally FREE :) Enjoy !

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m MASA, an AI engineer who loves solving problems :)
I built JumprAI because I kept wasting time scrubbing through long YouTube videos (podcasts, tutorials, interviews) trying to find that one moment again. Keyword search often fails because creators don’t use the exact words you remember — but you remember the meaning.
What JumprAI does
• Search inside any YouTube video using semantic (meaning-based) search
• Get a list of timestamps → click → jump to the exact moment
• Works on any video with captions
• Privacy-first: only sends the search query + video ID (no tracking)
What’s different vs. existing options
• Meaning-based search (not Ctrl+F on transcript)
• Built directly into the YouTube player for a one-click workflow
• Smart caching for fast repeat searches on the same video
If you try it, I’d love feedback on:
1. result quality (are the timestamps accurate?)
2. UI/UX inside YouTube (anything annoying?)
3. what feature would make this a “must-have” for you?
Thanks for checking it out — happy to answer anything!
Great problem you've solved. Congrats on it's launch!
JumprAI
@cohenco Thank you Cohen, hope it helps !

@tereza_hurtova Thanks Tereza for your feedback, trust me i know how painful it is to scrub through long podcasts just to find a 2 secs segment, hope JumprAI finally helps you :) For your question, JumprAI can handle videos with overlapping dialogue without a problem, since It takes on all the video's context, so it won't struggle with overlapping dialogue ! If you encounter any issue, feel free to contact and I'll be happy to fix it to make JumprAI better !
Hi @itsmasa, I know you from the content you share on YouTube.
Congrats on the launch!
Guess what? Yesterday, I asked my OpenClaw to solve the Mr. Beast challenge so I could win the million! 🥹
The experience was interesting, but the thing OpenClaw struggled with was searching in the videos.
Are you planning to launch an API in the future?
JumprAI
@bengeekly Thank you for your feedback ! For the API, yes it's something I'm considering in the future !
Migma AI
been looking for a semantic search for YT for a while! 🔍 transcript search is always so hit-or-miss. does it handle non-English captions well too? congrats on the launch! 🚀
JumprAI
@adam_lab Thanks Adam for your feedback, and yes JumprAI supports many other languages and I'm working on adding more and more languages with time !
This tool seems to be really helpful for research. You mention it's free and privacy-first. Since semantic search usually implies embedding costs, are you running a small model locally in the browser to keep it private and free, or how are you managing the inference costs?
JumprAI
@valeriia_kuna Thanks for the thoughtful question Valeriia !
JumprAI is privacy-first by design — we only send your search query + video ID to our servers (no tracking or personal data). For semantic search, we use efficient cloud inference with optimized embeddings (small enough to keep costs low even at scale). No local browser model yet (that'd be cool for offline mode!), but we subsidize costs to keep it 100% free for users.
What other features would make research even better for you? 🚀
I struggle with long-form content so this is great for me lol. I saw that you have auto-summaries coming soon, that would definitely increase the value for me
JumprAI
@ladefalobi M glad JumprAI can help you ! Also auto-summaries are coming very soon as well as other cool features!
ChartStud
Very cool!
This saves so much time for tutorials and long-form content. Definitely trying this out
JumprAI
@aronsmith Thank you Lahcen for your support !
Love this idea! How does this improve on the Gemini functionality YouTube added?
Would love to learn more.
JumprAI
@joey_calamari Hey Nate, thanks for the feedback !
Gemini's great for summaries, but we go deeper on exact timestamps; finding the precise moment by meaning (like "best roast" even if not said verbatim). Stays in the YouTube player too.
Try it on a long tutorial and lmk what you think! :)
