@basheerak Two days back, #KnowYourWorth got lots of attention in Twitter. Basically, It was started by @ZacSweers (Twitter id) as a small step against pay inequality. I just got an idea to add filters to the most famous tweets by location, So that people can search for it easily. :)

Nice job! Unfortunately, the #KnowYourWorth template doesn't include how many hours per week one must commit to for a given salary. That would help put things into perspective.
Canβt really use this product on a mobile device. Am I missing something or is it a collection of screen grabs?
The idea is great but I wish I could make more sense of it.

I see I was not the only one having that idea π
I built something similar that allows to search in a certain region and to filter on some criteria as well (but with anonymity in mind too).
This is very raw but I'd be happy to have your thoughts about it: https://knowyourworth.netlify.com/

@valentin____ much more interesting, but still missing the much important normalizing of the actual salaries into some stable coin or something (please, don't normalize it into fiat, by default!).
Congrats for the launch. How to you know the location of the person on Twitter and how do you update the list?

Pretty cool idea to combine these salaries! We did something similar for intern salaries to break salary taboos early on in people's career @ apply.fyi.

I like the idea, BUT: This can make quite a few people quite unhappy because the numbers are not representative.
People who are active on twitter and even post their income are usually very self-confident and very active within their communities plus eager to learn and teach -> for that reason alone they will have a higher skill and a higher income than most.
Someone with an active SO-account(5k+) or an active twitter-feed with more than 5 followers will be easily worth more than 1.3 or 1.5x that of someone who does not - however the only thing that many(not all!) people see is only: "she has 5 years of experience, just like me - why is she paid 70k and I only get 55k .. i'm gonna quit!"
That being said: I don't want to blame the product, i think it's an excellent idea to democratize wages, but I don't think that it is possible with such a tool.
