Just a final-year engineering student building something that actually helped me first.
During placements, hackathon nights, and last-minute reports, I realized something:
Students and many other people don’t need premium AI every day.
But on certain days, we absolutely cannot live without it:
Hackathons
Heavy coding nights
Reports due at 11:59 PM
One good AI response can save hours. But paying ₹2,000–₹4,000 per month (about $24–$48 USD, €22–€44 EUR, £19–£38 GBP) as a student is painful.
I kept switching tools, managing subscriptions, hitting limits, and copy-pasting context.
Wasting the one thing I didn’t have: time.
So I built LumiChats, not to compete with big AI companies, but to make AI actually make sense for students.
