I was wondering, is it possible to connect bank account directly or have a zapier integration to get data into midday automatically? Or is the only way uploading invoices / sending them to the midday email?

Yes, we are targeting "micro business" right now i.e up to 10 employees or less to keep focus, in the end we will problery also go after SMBs but it feels right to grow with our customers.
with that said, let us know what you need/missing trying us out and we will prfioritize accordingly!

The interface looks slick - who can say no to dark modes. It's interesting that ya'll decided on open source and support self-hosted/local, any particular reason that's the case? Also curious why the app is called Midday - any fun story?
To me, this feels very intuitive and easy to use - love the integration with AI to bring up some insights to the business owners. I may want to start using this soon!

For us, there was no reason not to go fully open source. Building a community from the ground up while gaining trust as a self-funded project felt like the perfect approach!
Actually, the story is that I always told my accountant, "You will get everything before midday" (I was always late) - and since Midday she is happy.
