Very interesting. Love the tagline "changing the world through dialog." What inspired you to create this?
I know this is mainly text based but have you thought about ways you could incorporate video to create a face to face conversation?
@marcoafabrega Hello, thank you so much! One of my inspirations was Pink Floyd's album "The Division Bell", which deal with themes of communication, or the lack of it. "All we need to do is keep talking" is the phrase that kept in my mind for a while.
Face to face conversation would be awesome, but that requires way more code and a way more complexed backend. We first want to expand our users database and validate the idea. After that we will be ready to grow, and maybe add video chat support!

Loved the idea. Downloaded it and got a few debates started, but immediately noticed some problems. First off, minor problem, when youβre typing the focus doesnβt remain on the last line, so what youβre typing eventually becomes hidden. Second, much bigger problem, my debates seem to be disappearing. One debate I was in is simply gone, after having a few solid back and forths with the guy. Another debate I was in sent me a notification for a response, but shows nothing when I select it. Also, the pull down to refresh is hanging... so maybe itβs just down? So, like I said, love the idea, but itβs a bit too buggy to be enjoyable right now.

@bradley_szoke1 I matched with you a few times on different issues. Kind of interesting. The userbase must be pretty small right now.
@bradley_szoke1 Hello, thank you for your honest opinion! We are working hard to fix all the bugs as fast as we can! The input focus problems is already being fixed , and should't be a problem in the next version. The other ones though seems really strange, since you are the first one to report something like this. If you could gives us more details, what chats disappeared, we could look into it.

@felipe_grinsztajn Of course! It seems like the backend is functioning fine, itβs just not quite getting communicated to the front end. Iβll get notifications about people making statements or new conversations being started, but when I go to check, they arenβt there. Right now I have 2 conversations showing, and when I try to refresh, the refresh just hangs indefinitely. On a 7+ with the latest OS if that helps!
Very interesting concept, I like it! I think you should add a "not sure" or "not that important to me" to answer the screening questions, in order to also promote more nuanced point of views.
I think this is a super intriguing app topic that allows people to discus/debate POV's, but as others have said, restricting it to FB users isn't the best. Personally I'm not comfortable sharing my private FB account. I also think that Google accounts should be an option. Good luck! :)
@ozgrozer Hello! Thank you for your reply! Linking users to their Facebook account reduce the chances of abuse through the app. Since the app debates very sensitive topics, we need to be more severe with users identities, just like other sensitive apps does, like Tinder for example.

@felipe_grinsztajn can you maybe let user sign up with their google account?

@felipe_grinsztajn surely discussing sensitive topics is a good reason to mask identity? Though you still need to keep out trolls. Iβd like to use the app but I wonβt create a Facebook account just to do so. Hoping you add more login providers!
Installed it, didn't allow access to the my Facebook likes, didn't stop loading, killed and restarted app, allowed access to the my likes, then an [object object] error. Can't get in...

I'm hoping you can figure this out since I don't know the right answer but I don't see too many actually honest/divisive conversations on a platform where your questions/answers would effectively act as a public digital footprint for all the world to see.
I think an app like this is certainly important to have these conversations but, realistically, viewpoints an individual may hold that seem innocuous now can be used against them later.
