@ryanleslie first off congrats, and I know all the hard work is paying off! Can you talk about song writing. What is your creative process in general when writing a song? Do you find inspiration from everyday things or what you're going through in life at that point, is it inspirational conversations or do you typically just start at the keyboard until an inspirational melody hits you and then build from there? What was that process like especially for this album and why does the output of that process seem to excite you so much this time around wit this release (you are definitely hype about this release and I can see why)? @naithanjones man - you were around for the bulk of the experiences in the Valley which shaped the foundation for many of the records. A few people have written and asked - "where is the supermodel-chasing Ryan we love"? I respond to them this way - the music industry needs a primer and a new blueprint. The balance in favor of a textbook approach on the first twelve songs of MZRT is to me both necessary and an honest reflection of the way I feel about life right now. That's what this album is about: having the bravery and the freedom to be outspoken in your preferred medium. Hence the July 4 date!
