Pie makes a mini-chat room for everything you want to discuss - from links, files, questions, images, to what’s for lunch - so every conversation stays on topic.
Happy to answer any questions and explain further to the lovely PH people.
Thanks @rrhoover for having us!

Ok guys, gotta get some sleep (we're based in Singapore). Keep the questions coming, I'll make sure to answer all of them in the morning.
All feedback is more than welcome! Don't forget to follow Pie on Twitter: https://twitter.com/piethis
Ha, we loved that article by @__tosh ! Screenshot is almost same as an actual discussion we had :P
To your question on how Pie is different - read: better - than more traditional chat apps: unlike chat apps with vague-topic chat rooms that often veer off-topic Pie offers an experience where every conversation is centered around a single, specific item so you only need to bother with what’s important and don’t get interrupted by conversations you don’t care about.
Looks phenomenal, guys. On the same page as @__tosh, I'd **love** to see an open-ended bot service available. We're using Hipchat and I know my CTO would need full post access before considering a swap. I'd be just fine leaving such alerts in email, but everyone else seems to like them inline with our chats.
PS: yeah that branding is dope
I'd be curious re product thoughts about emulating existing APIs like the one of HipChat or Slack to benefit from existing integrations vs building out new concepts/specific APIs.
IIRC HipChat took the route to emulate the Campfire API + also support their own API for HipChat specific functionality.
I guess this can also backfire if everyone only integrates using the 'generic/emulated' API.

@Mark L. Chang the current version of Pie is free and will remain free. In a few months we plans to roll-out freemium services such as admin control and user management, external chat and granular access control, usage statistics, topic expert surfacing, and custom integrations.
We're currently testing our pricing, but are pretty sure on a per user per month model. Exact price per user is TBD.
btw: @rrhoover I can't @mention Mark as the auto-complete list is too small
