Interesting. I am a Coin backer myself, even though it is not very likely to work in Europe without having the security upgraded from the old magnet strip tech. Plastc on the other hand does have the chip and hence might actually work in Europe - makes it worth the price to me (even though the price is way too high)
Meh. This is yet another transitionary product before the shift from Card -> mobile payments. It looks cool, but I don't think it'll last as products like Apple Pay reach real adoption.

At first I thought this was a parody of Coin.. But, it sounds like it's real..
My take is that this industry has about 5 years of life left in it. Digital transactions or Apple Pay will become the most prevalent in the near future.
