Coin is of course very delayed; not only that it has 85-90% swipe success rate. Which is bad. Is this going to be 100%?

$155 for a card that competes with something that is already becoming dated (Coin) and is much less relevant with Apple Pay + Passbook coming up? And the value is it takes up nominally less space than the few things it replaces, which I get for free? Where do I sign up?
Answers all my concerns about Coin. Chip & PIN. E-ink display. Rechargeable. Has swipe and NFC too. Basically, this is perfect. Summer 2015 is a long way away though - what if my smartphone allows all this to happen in an app before then? Given the choice of carrying around a phone AND a metacard or just a phone, I'll pick the mono-device option.
No interest in preordering something that may have difficulties shipping. Coin me once, shame on you, coin me twice....well i'm just going to use Apple pay or pull out of frikin wallet.

The killer differentiator here is that it also has RFID so it can store office security cards (would also work for my CTA transit card in Chicago). These are cases Apple Pay won't cover and would make me consider purchasing where I wouldn't with Coin.
Interesting concept. I'm interested in seeing how they will be able to do chip & pin. Another competitor would be https://www.walla.by/the-wallaby... (disclosure: I work there)
People keep saying this is too expensive compared to coin but it's way more useful and you have to replace your coin every year since there is no way to recharge it.
