One of the biggest pain points for Snipd is that the snips don't always accurately capture the section you want. This becomes even more difficult when the transcript isn't in sync with the audio. Even when everything is in sync, the snips sometimes cover undesired sections, and adjusting the start or end points is tedious. One of the downsides of outsourcing your outputs to AI is that you're at its mercy. While AI is helpful for getting the ball rolling, it should never fully take over. The automatic snips feature seemed awesome at first glance, but it quickly became apparent that it overwhelms more than informs. It's useful for passive and hurried users who want to get the gist or vet content before committing. However, if you're like me—committed to a curated list of content, listening from start to finish, and wanting to deeply understand—then the automatic snip feature is more detrimental than useful. It removes the deliberate action from the listening experience and promotes clutter, since there will inevitably be insights or advice that I won't care for. Also, this app is screaming for a web app version, because the information gleaned can be further used/repurposed. I wouldn't be surprised if a competitor sees this gap and makes a super learning/extraction app.

I've been using Snipd for about 18 months now, and I have to say - this app is an absolute game-changer for podcast listeners. I like it. But it still has a lot of work to be done; it feels unintuitive as someone moving from Spotify, and I can't get myself to use Snipd instead of Spotify whenever I want to listen to a podcast. Also, it's only better for some podcasts, but for 'unknown' ones, it's better to use a service like Spotify. I also could not find a way to queue podcasts to play from earliest to latest like I always do on Spotify, which is why I almost never use it for those few AI-transcribed podcasts.

Love this app. I used to use so many workarounds to save key excerpts in podcasts. Now I don't stress on it. Just start listening and know I can instantly save a great snippet without a lot of overhead. Post processing snipds is still a bit of work, but the AI notes will greatly help with this.

Snipd makes consuming and learning from podcast content easier than any other podcasting app for iOS. The only downside is the lack of a desktop version of the app for folks who want to dive deeper from their work machines and take notes.

This is such an amazing product! It has everything I need to get the most out of the podcasts I listen to. Beautiful app, very intuitive, and the export options are great. The best podcast app I've discovered. Bookmarking/clipping is a killer feature, and this app does it better and with fewer bugs than any other app I've tried. Snipd has been my default podcast app for almost a year now, and I have zero complaints. New features are shipped at a decent cadence too. Great stuff!

What an amazing way to help you digest interesting podcasts. Where audiobooks used to be my go to place for learning is now podcasts all because of this amazing tool snipd and the best part I love that it automatically saves all my snipd into notion. I highly recommend this tool

I've always wanted a way to keep track of information at specific points in podcasts, had to original type out the timestamp and information from the speaker in my note taking app. Snipd gave a much better solution
