I posted a random thread on X about the cost of living in the Netherlands. Nothing about what we're building. Just genuine thoughts about life in the Netherlands.
It hit 1M+ impressions. And here's the weird part we got a ton of signups and paid users for Starnus from it. Without ever mentioning the product.
Meanwhile, my "here's what Starnus does" posts? Way less engagement.
This genuinely messed with my head. I'm sharing the actual X post below
Starnus
hey everyone 👋 i'm Ayda, co-founder of Starnus. while Khashayar built the tech, i've been on the other side actually doing the outbound, testing every tool out there, and honestly getting frustrated by how complicated and expensive they all are. that's what pushed us to build Starnus. we wanted something that just works without needing a sales ops degree to set up. would love to hear how you guys are currently handling outbound always looking to learn and make Starnus better!
@ayda_golahmadi Such a needed product. As a technical founder myself, outbound tooling has always felt overly complex for what should be simple.
Saw your LinkedIn post and had to check it out here. Excited to see what you’re building with Starnus.

@joey_calamari Really appreciate that. Outbound has been way more complicated than it needs to be. Thanks for coming over from LinkedIn 🙌
The ICP-first workflow is the right architecture. Most outreach tools start with a database and let you filter down — which sounds logical but actually encourages spray-and-pray behavior. Starting from "who exactly do we want" and then finding them is a fundamentally different mental model, and it tends to produce better messages because the targeting is tighter.
The 1.3B profile claim is worth probing — database size is easy to tout but freshness and accuracy matter more, especially for smaller companies where contact data turns over fast. Curious how Starnus handles bounce rates and outdated info in practice.
We're doing manual outreach right now for our own product launch — mostly targeting content creators rather than B2B leads, but the underlying challenge is identical: finding the right people, writing something that doesn't feel like a template, and following up without being annoying. The personalization layer is always the bottleneck. How much of the message customization is genuinely dynamic versus fill-in-the-blank tokens?

Congrats on the launch @khashayar_mansourizadeh1 @ayda_golahmadi
It's crazy how many integrations Starnus has, really amazing job!
Starnus
@ayda_golahmadi @mahdi_nouri thanks! it took a bit of a time to integrate all, but the outcome is good :)
Starnus
@mahdi_nouri thanks mahdi
Matching against 1.3B+ profiles, is that actual vector similarity on enriched embeddings in Pinecone or more rule-based filtering with AI reranking on top? Big difference for niche ICPs.
Starnus
@devopscraftsman very good question, we have connection to 15+ 3rd party databases, and the results are aggregated from all
Running bill.dock.io, we live and die by outbound efficiency — so the "autopilot" promise here genuinely caught my attention. The real challenge I've seen with automated prospecting tools is signal quality deteriorating fast once everyone on your ICP uses the same enrichment sources. Curious how Starnus handles list freshness and deduplication when you're targeting overlapping segments across multiple users?
