Ever wondered where the world’s biggest ideas came from? The Map of Human Ideas visualizes over 250 discoveries, philosophies, and inventions across centuries. Each point on the map marks the origin of an idea that changed our collective story. Built as a side project to celebrate curiosity and creativity.

Where do you get your data from? Interesting data foundation that basically completely erases African thinkers and innovators.
Very good idea. There are few contributions of Tunisia lacking like: Maritime trade empire and republican governance (Carthage), Strategic logistics and advanced tactics (Hannibal), and Social science foundations (Ibn Khaldun).
One major challenge with such a project would be that most history has been written in english (and sometimes pushes western focus).
The project can be better if you open submissions from people to add, and you do the review. The form can be (Name, email, Idea, Country of the idea, year, how did the idea change human history).

@ruthvik_reddy_sankepally I will definitely try this, thank you for your feedback!
Why is Persia so blank, The Cyrus Cylinder is considered to be the first charter for human rights, something a lot of us still enjoy today...kinda.
Kudos on the launch all the same, think it's going to be my new distraction.

@shehbaz_afzal Thank you for your feedback, the dataset is not at its best right now. I will enrich it asap
Great idea ! Nice work
You placed the inventor of photography, Niépce, in the west of France, but he actually created photography in Burgundy, near Chalon-sur-Saône (much further east).
By the way, legend has it that he got some of the elements for his invention after Vivant Denon returned from a Napoleonic expedition to Egypt, Denon happened to live right across from Niépce’s house in Burgundy. Suggesting that the Egyptians might have developed a form of photography thousands of years before Niépce’s era..

@abogatov Thank you for your feedback! I will try to add the images
I also like maps and history, so i like this idea but i feel it's missing something to make it more valuable. I think it would be nice to include links to each of the point markers, so that the user can actually read information related to each. Links to wikipedia would be the easiest i guess to connect them with.
The Map of Human Ideas
@adamvisu That makes sense, i will consider it in the next release
