I believe it would also work well on a plane. Because you are much closer to your laptop in an airline seat, the strain is even worse. Have you tested the Tiny Tower on a plane yet?
@stephenchip Hi Stephen - thanks for your feedback! The Tiny Tower is probably not going to be ideal on a plane - unless you're flying up the front ;) Because the Tiny Tower elevates the screen the seat in front will likely interfere with your screen position, especially if that seat is reclined backwards. Ergonomically speaking the best solution in economy/coach is probably a tablet attached to the rear of the seat in front if possible.
The fold-down portability of this is absolutely the feature that makes this. Nice, clean, simple, matte metallic designs, are great - but the ability to very easily take this anywhere makes this worth purchasing, rather than just sticking a few Rand novels underneath it to git-r-done.

Question: does your product improve in any way my laptop cooling? Can I consider it as a passive cooling pad?
@quentin_malgaud Thank you and yes! Air will flow freely all around your laptop when it sits on top - much more so than when it sits directly on a desk or table.
It's a killer feature that it can fold down! One question: Is it sturdy enough to type on? (I usually stand up with an external display behind & above the laptop, which I type on, i.e. no external keyboard)
@mrolovsson Hi Frederik. Killer indeed! The stand is designed to be stable for typing whilst on it - although it's not designed for your palms or hands to rest on it in use - occasional typing with fingers is no problem. If standing the Tiny Tower should be placed on a standing height desk as shown in the "Features" section on our Kickstarter page. We don't recommend standing if the Tiny Tower is placed on a standard (seated height) desk as using it this way doesn't solve the ergonomic requirement of separating the screen and elevating it from the keyboard. We have relaunched following the feedback we got from our first campaign. V2.0 is an improved product - thinner when folded, lighter and now in 4 colours.

I like this a lot in theory, but the portability is kind of negated for me by its need for an external keyboard and mouse/trackpad.
@blake Hi Blake. Yes - a laptop on its own is by definition more portable and for short periods of time that's fine, but for people using them for hours on end (as many of us do) and to fix the ergonomic issue there's nothing that can beat physically separating the screen from the keyboard. Obviously the ideal solution is a separate monitor - but that's not very portable ;)
