I love the folding design, but I personally don't fully understand the "shelf" type of laptop stand. meaning, where the laptop sits on a horizontal surface thats (more or less ) parallel to the desk. I know a lot of laptop stands have a similar design, but from a usability standpoint, I still don't get it.
More so than height, I feel distance to the laptop screen is a more important feature of any good laptop stand. If this were able to tilt the laptop base down (thereby bringing the screen closer to your eyes), it would quite possibly be the best laptop stand ever known to mankind.
@wuss Hi Noah. Thanks for your comment. Ergonomically speaking (if you put your arms out horizontally in front of you) a screen should be approximately the same distance away as the palm of your hand. With the keyboard basically horizontal there is still plenty of room in front for the keyboard and mouse. I use mine (15" MB Pro) this way with a separate keyboard and there's no problem in terms of distance. The height is actually the critical change that prevents people from hunching and placing unnecessary pressure on their neck and backs - especially when we all use laptops for extended periods of time.

This is great. I'm currently upgrading my home office and literally just had a talk today about what I need in ways of a standing desk etc, and was thinking of various solutions, and this is *exactly* what I need - love it - so sad it leads to a kickstarter page though, I'd order it in a heartbeat, with express overnight shipping if I could! good luck & I hope to see it actually available soon (Y)

Perfect for me, just one question, is able to make two hole on it, I'm going to get a mini pc called GPD Micro PC, with 2 hole at button, if would be able to assemble able that's great!!
