After our #1 launch in March I went quiet for almost five months, sorry for the silence.
When I came back, my old way of building with AI stopped working.
My Claude and Codex limits were gone in 2-3 days. Codex kept forgetting what the other sessions had done. For three weeks I couldn't ship one feature: a proper agent loop for our site agent, so it searches, checks the data and only then answers. I kept forwarding messages between the two AIs by hand, like a courier.
In the end I set up a harness: one shared space where every AI session, in any tool and on any computer, starts by knowing what we decided, what we tried and what's next. Within two days the stuck feature finally worked. Now my limits last the whole week.
I wanted to share this experience and discuss it here. The full story was too long for one post, so I put the detailed breakdown of how I build Tobira and how the harness took our product development to the next level on my Substack: https://founderbrain.substack.co...
can I get the chat sent to my email somehow? had a long conversation and wanted to show it to my partner later
@xanderiang not yet, it stays in the chat for now. a copy to your email at the end would make sense, we'll add it. would you want the whole chat or just a short recap with options and prices?
@xanderiang Love that the conversation was worth sharing! There's no "email me this chat" button yet, but there should be. Could you drop it as a Hypership request (New request on our page)? Then we can ship it today
the chat on your landing explains things pretty well. I gave it my website and it told me where to go to set it up, would be cooler if it just started building my agent right there
@new_user__3112023c924aa2dde69432b fair, you'd already given it your URL, so it should just start building right there. that one's going on our list. mind adding it as a New request at the top too?
@new_user__3112023c924aa2dde69432b until then the shortest way is tobira.ai/start: paste the same URL and it starts building right away
For an agent that offers a service and books the call, prices and availability need to stay current. I'd want the business owner to see which source those answers came from and correct it in one place.
@oleksii_sekundant Great point, Oleksii. Availability doesn't come from page text, when your agent books, it checks your connected calendar live. Prices and services come from your site and docs, and you can correct them by just telling your agent in the owner chat. Seeing the source behind every answer in one place is a great idea, noting it for Hypership
@oleksii_sekundant agree, prices are where it hurts most if it’s wrong. it only uses what’s on your public pages, and showing which page each answer came from makes a lot of sense, we’re on it. how often do your prices change?
Went through onboarding today, love how my agent page looks!
Would be great to have a button to share it on LinkedIn right there. First thing I wanted to do was put it on my profile
@natella_nuralieva Thanks, Natella! Love that the first thing you wanted was to show it off. There's already a Share page in your cabinet with a LinkedIn button, but you're right, it should be right there the moment onboarding ends. Adding it to today's Hypership list
@natella_nuralieva You can add this feedback as a Hypership suggestion! Just scroll up and click the "New request" button
@natella_nuralieva @juan good shout Juan, thank you. the New request button is at the top of the page if you want to drop it there
@natella_nuralieva oh yes, it's a page you want to show off. the share page is in the cabinet for now, one click further than it should be. on it. button on the last onboarding step or on the page itself, which one would you use?
Tried it on my own site, pretty cool seeing it pull everything from my pages. Halfway through I got nervous I'd lose it all if I closed the tab. Could you let me save the agent right after I enter the URL?
@ititov_agency Thanks! Fair point, nobody should feel nervous halfway through. Saving the agent right after you enter the URL is going on today's Hypership list
@ititov_agency yeah, right now saving only comes at the very end, so closing the tab early loses it. picking this one up. did you actually lose one, or was it more the worry?
Cool idea. How do you handle trust between agents when they’re negotiating on someone’s behalf?
@igor_martinyuk each agent only shares what its human made public or allowed, and names or contacts go out only after both humans say yes. agents also get a credibility level from how their past conversations went. what would you let yours negotiate?
@igorblink plus before any human gets pinged, the two agents check the fit in a short dialogue. If there's no real value for both sides, they just stop and nobody hears about it. And on a website, a visitor's ChatGPT is a guest, not a trusted agent, so it only sees public info
Congrats on the launch!
Great idea: for solo founders and early-stage startups, it’s really useful to have a tool that helps you find customers for pilot projects, become your 24/7 sales rep and keep an eye on competitors all the time.
I just went through the onboarding and have a few notes:
Thanks for asking me to add my email. I was worried the onboarding progress would be lost if I switched tabs.
Data extraction takes quite a while. To get the wow effect, it’d be enough to show the first few tabs and send the rest by email as a digest, like Semrush and similar services do. I don’t want to wait that long to see the product’s value. I think the first 1-2 min was more than enough!
Honestly, the website isn’t the most representative source, whether for an early-stage startup (there isn’t much public info yet) or an enterprise (thousands of outdated, SEO and upsell pages). I’d much rather plug an agent like this into a company’s knowledge base, where there are discussions, call notes, docs and general info in a more structured form.
@alex_jedi the Semrush-style digest is a good call, first results in a minute and the rest by email. writing that one down. it can already use your docs, not only the site. which knowledge base would you plug in first?
@olia_nemirovski I prefer self-hosted Obsidian, but Notion is a good option too!
@alex_jedi makes sense, Obsidian is plain markdown anyway. today you can push notes into Knowledge through MCP from your Claude or Codex. a live Notion or Obsidian sync would make a good New request at the top of the page
@alex_jedi thanks for such a detailed pass! Totally agree on the knowledge base, the site is just the fastest start. You can already upload docs and call notes in Knowledge, or let your Claude or Codex add them through our MCP. Google Docs auto-sync is one of today's requests in progress
