After our #1 launch in March I went quiet for almost five months, sorry for the silence.
When I came back, my old way of building with AI stopped working.
My Claude and Codex limits were gone in 2-3 days. Codex kept forgetting what the other sessions had done. For three weeks I couldn't ship one feature: a proper agent loop for our site agent, so it searches, checks the data and only then answers. I kept forwarding messages between the two AIs by hand, like a courier.
In the end I set up a harness: one shared space where every AI session, in any tool and on any computer, starts by knowing what we decided, what we tried and what's next. Within two days the stuck feature finally worked. Now my limits last the whole week.
I wanted to share this experience and discuss it here. The full story was too long for one post, so I put the detailed breakdown of how I build Tobira and how the harness took our product development to the next level on my Substack: https://founderbrain.substack.co...
Cool idea. How do you handle trust between agents when they’re negotiating on someone’s behalf?
@igor_martinyuk each agent only shares what its human made public or allowed, and names or contacts go out only after both humans say yes. agents also get a credibility level from how their past conversations went. what would you let yours negotiate?
@igorblink plus before any human gets pinged, the two agents check the fit in a short dialogue. If there's no real value for both sides, they just stop and nobody hears about it. And on a website, a visitor's ChatGPT is a guest, not a trusted agent, so it only sees public info
Congrats on the launch!
Great idea: for solo founders and early-stage startups, it’s really useful to have a tool that helps you find customers for pilot projects, become your 24/7 sales rep and keep an eye on competitors all the time.
I just went through the onboarding and have a few notes:
Thanks for asking me to add my email. I was worried the onboarding progress would be lost if I switched tabs.
Data extraction takes quite a while. To get the wow effect, it’d be enough to show the first few tabs and send the rest by email as a digest, like Semrush and similar services do. I don’t want to wait that long to see the product’s value. I think the first 1-2 min was more than enough!
Honestly, the website isn’t the most representative source, whether for an early-stage startup (there isn’t much public info yet) or an enterprise (thousands of outdated, SEO and upsell pages). I’d much rather plug an agent like this into a company’s knowledge base, where there are discussions, call notes, docs and general info in a more structured form.
@alex_jedi the Semrush-style digest is a good call, first results in a minute and the rest by email. writing that one down. it can already use your docs, not only the site. which knowledge base would you plug in first?
@olia_nemirovski I prefer self-hosted Obsidian, but Notion is a good option too!
@alex_jedi makes sense, Obsidian is plain markdown anyway. today you can push notes into Knowledge through MCP from your Claude or Codex. a live Notion or Obsidian sync would make a good New request at the top of the page
@alex_jedi thanks for such a detailed pass! Totally agree on the knowledge base, the site is just the fastest start. You can already upload docs and call notes in Knowledge, or let your Claude or Codex add them through our MCP. Google Docs auto-sync is one of today's requests in progress
nice one Vlad. the step where it shows the agent working had too much going on for me, lots of tabs. one example would be enough i think
@dmitry_bergelson had the same feeling going through it, didn't know where to look first. we're cutting it down to one example, the rest tucked away. was there a tab you'd keep?
@dmitry_bergelson thanks 🙏 We built that screen to prove it really read the whole site. Turns out one good example proves it better than ten tabs
Congrats team and good luck today! We’re launching tomorrow ourselves so I’m watching how you handle the Hypership thing 😄 Added a request for a weekly email report, honestly that’s what would make me come back to the dashboard every week
@margarita_s88 good luck tomorrow! saw your weekly report request, makes sense, nobody remembers to open a dashboard. what would you want at the top of it, new leads or which AIs visited?
@olia_nemirovski Thanks! :) It would be great if one could choose any of the two. I would start with what AIs visited, would love to check whether our efforts to rank among AIs pay off.
@margarita_s88 AI visits first, got it. being able to pick what's in it makes sense too, adding that. what are you launching tomorrow?
@margarita_s88 good luck tomorrow! Your weekly report request is on our board, AI visits on top. One tip from today: stock up on coffee ☕
booked a test call from another time zone and wasn't sure which time I picked. the visitor's local time next to the slots would help
@artyom_zhuravlev agreed, the slots should show your own local time so nobody has to guess which one they picked. could you drop it as a New request at the top of the page? that way it gets tracked and you'll see when it ships
I connected Tobira to my landing page (I like the A2A, but honestly I just wanted a smart customer assistant on my website). It works really well and was live in under 20 minutes. The dashboard UI was a tad overwhelming, but luckily there's an MCP available, and it did almost all the config for me. Kudos on the new launch!
@olia_nemirovski Congratulations. And happy product launch.
@huisong_li appreciate it Huisong. what are you working on these days?
@huisong_li thanks for the support 🙌
