It's fantastic because Tripo AI takes all the complexity out of 3D creation. You don’t need a deep background in 3D design to jump in and start creating high-quality work. The AI speeds up the learning curve, helping you iterate faster and refine your ideas quickly. Plus, the interface is intuitive, making it easy to experiment without feeling overwhelmed.

What needs improvement

Honestly, I’d love to see more customization options for the AI-generated content. While it’s awesome that it simplifies things, sometimes I want to push things even further and have more control over finer details. It would also be great if there were more templates or presets for specific industries, like gaming or VR, to really hit the ground running.

This app showcases amazing 3D images, from photogrammetry to its additional Genie feature, which allows creating 3D meshes from textual input. Regarding photogrammetry, I was surprised by the results too, as it creates a unique mesh for some objects based on just one photo, while for others, it generates a box where each side represents a modified version of the uploaded image. Genie also yields beautiful results, although it's limited to 50,000 polygons. I wish this project further development and attention to materials, as mesh generation is already impressive. Regarding materials, I mean more PBR materials. Also, it would be good to slightly improve mesh generation algorithms, particularly by adding an option for creating a two-sided mesh or a one-sided one.

Really impressed by how easy it is to create 3D models with Tripo. I used it to build Chelsea’s first-team squad in 3D — and even though Madueke just moved to Arsenal, I still have his Chelsea version saved, which feels special. The tool is simple, fast, and surprisingly fun. Highly recommend it for anyone who wants to capture and preserve moments in 3D.
