Thanks all for the cool comments and upvotes! I'm bootstraping a Chrome extension right now.
Also, what do you guys think about the "Add the Tweetshot button to your website so your users can tweet directly with an image" thing ?
http://tweetshot.co/button
Is it too far-fetched ?
@RomainCointepas It's a nice idea, but its probably a bit too early tbh! I think even buffer would have a tough time getting usage compared to people who just want to press tweet/fb etc. and arent already buffer users
I completely missed the fact I had to add a link for an image to be added, perhaps you should make it so that I cannot proceed to tweet until a link is added?
I assumed it would work in a similar way to magicpixx - automatically scanning the tweet for keywords and attaching a relevant image.
@Anderson760 Unfortunately, Twitter does not allow much granularity when defining your app permissions (see http://cl.ly/image/3s2C1E101N01).
We do mention "We only publish tweets on your behalf after you explicitly clicked the "Tweet" button. We never access your timeline, tweets or followers." in the app description in an attempt to clarify what TwitShot actually does.
@romaincointepas alright, just relaying the message since that was one of the biggest hurdles for my coworker using it. Thanks :)

I didn't really get it either until I saw these examples. https://twitter.com/tweetshotapp... They really do look great. So 600x300 is the magic dimension?
This is super convenient. It would be even more awesome if there was a chrome extension that modified the twitter page to inject this functionality directly in. That way I don't have to use one site to tweet, and another to browse my feed.
