Here s what we learned from launching our AI visibility checker on Product Hunt (it audits how well ChatGPT, Claude, and other LLMs understand your business).
Ranked #21
Gained 53 followers, 40 people upvoted
Decent waitlist signups for our upcoming full product (https://causo.ai/)
The real lesson: it s about who you can rally, not what you built.
New accounts don t count. You need people with active, aged accounts. We had about 40 people upvote, but only verified accounts mattered for ranking. Our friends and supporters who previously didn't have a PH account but legitimately wanted to support us didn't count.
Only top 14 products get real visibility. The mobile app literally only shows the top 14. Everyone else is invisible to most users. Organic discovery below that is basically nonexistent.
For years, founders have optimized for Google. But the front door to discovery is shifting to AI.
We built the AI Visibility Checker to answer one simple question: Can AI correctly explain what your startup does?
It runs a multi-model scan across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity to see how visible and consistent your company identity is.
This tool shows how AI perceives your brand before anyone else does.
It is also a first glimpse of what we are building at Causo.ai, an AI co-founder that helps startups find real buyers automatically.
Guys, that's super sharp idea, love that you’re shifting attention from just SEO visibility to GEO AI visibility. Also love that you target multiple models at once (GPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity) while other tools forcus only on one. It makes it way more than a gimmick.
Curious on a few things:
What’s the next step after seeing your visibility score, are you planning any tools to help teams fix low visibility?
Long-term, do you imagine this evolving into a “semantic CRM”, where companies can actually train AI models on their GTM?
Congrats on the launch, team, this one feels like the start of something much bigger. Following along 👀
@nelly_orlovaThanks a lot, really appreciate it.
Yes, this tool is a small part of what we’re building at Causo - an AI system that understands startups deeply enough to write, pitch, and sell on their behalf. Visibility is just the starting point.
And yes, the long-term vision is close to what you described - agentic tool that learns a company’s story and uses it everywhere it matters.
Great tool, guys! But I'd suggest to add small notes in the full report about the difference between models, i.e. why Geminy discoverability is worse than others and how to improve it in particular
@nelly_orlova appreciate your kind words!
Definitely - the full breakdown, model by model insights, and recommendations to improve visibility are in the full report - behind an email gate, but still free to access:)
The AI Visibility Checker runs a structured audit through OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, and Perplexity APIs.
Each model is asked controlled questions about your startup’s identity, category, and value proposition.
We analyze responses for accuracy, context, and consistency, then generate a detailed visibility report.
This is a small preview of how Causo maps and understands companies to power fully autonomous outbound campaigns.
Visibility used to mean SEO and backlinks. Now it means how AI systems understand your company.
Investors and customers already ask AI tools to find or compare startups. If those systems misread your product, your visibility is broken - even if your website may be fully readable to humans.
The AI Visibility Checker shows what each model gets right, what it misses, and how to fix it.
It is free, fast, and based on the enrichment logic we are developing inside Causo.
We built it so founders can measure a new kind of marketing metric: AI visibility.
Simple, smart and it works. Well done guys, keep building!
