Congratulations on the successful launch of your SaaS platform! It's fantastic to hear about the significant impact in terms of time savings and operational efficiencies. I'm interested in learning more about the data security measures in place when linking and importing bank transactions. How does your platform ensure the safety and confidentiality of sensitive financial information during these processes?
@al_llamas Thanks for the feedback and great question, it's a very exciting process. Security is a top priority to me and this product having worked with the security team at one of the largest financial services in the world, I know how important it is.
First of all, when it comes to more specifics, feel free to reach out to me at nathan_m_smith@outlook.com. What I will say is that first of all, we use a few data partnerships so that we never hold authorization codes to your bank access. We have fail-safes to cut those off but also, we never built in the ability to do any harm. Additionally, we have rotating keys and a few encryption methods to make sure that keys are constantly changing.
For bank transactions, we use a series of token exchanges when making the links and authorization with those banks. To be clear, they're providing us access only to your balances and we go through a few security procedures every time we update that (daily for transactions and every 5 days for balances).
If you have question is about more specific aspects, feel free to reach out to me directly.
@tioluwani_akeju Thank you so much! I appreciate your candor and kind words. If you ever need help setting up your account or getting started, I'd be happy to personally get you started.

Thumbs up emoji! Your product is outstanding. Upvoted and ready to share. Let's connect on here for mutual support on upcoming launches. @nathanmsmith
@jsteneros Absolutely, there was some aspect of that! I see it as a big alternative to accounting tools for small businesses, especially startups. I think these tools are so complicated for individuals that it can be a ton of work on itself.
But I also think filling that space with Mint is a big thing. As this product grows, I'm hoping to unlock more and more to consumers because I believe there is a real benefit to using products like this

Question; how does this differ from say Quickbooks or Xero?
@archiemax Absolutely! A big difference is simplicity, automation, and linking. For one, I've worked to keep this product extremely simple and easy to use so that varying levels of members can easily get started. Also, our automation allows for much of the redundancy work to be eliminated. As I mentioned, after 3 months of sorting with enabling auto-sorting, our system will be able to auto-sort >70% of transactions, reducing your time doing work significantly.
The final part is that linkage. Many of these platforms rely on uploading statements but I believe in this new age of tech, we should be able to link directly to your institution and pull your transactions daily. Additionally, we can refine that data and provide you with better feedback than a statement could even provide.
This is all on the mission so that eventually, you can spend less and less time on this platform and when you're on it, you're almost completely focused on refining your goals and making adjustments, versus any tedious work.

An app for richies? Noted and will be using when I will be rich lol Congratulations :)
@charlotte_adams1 Definitely not richies, or else I might have to quit my own app 😭 More so for people trying to advance their finances (20-30 years olds settling down, startup owners, small business people) because I realized how much of the tedious work this could eliminate with automation. I know it will enable those types of users to focus more on their real crafts and just make refinements instead of overhauling each time. Would love to get your thoughts, feel free to email me and we can figure something out!
