Do you use separate devices or just strict rules to block distractions?

Trying to write code while chat pings pop up every ten minutes is basically impossible. I tried turning off notifications on my phone but my laptop screen would still light up with every little update. The only thing that actually saved my focus was setting specific blocks of time for communication and treating the rest of the day as offline. If notification settings aren't enough for you

what physical or software tricks do you use to keep yourself from checking chats constantly?

How do you bring back the excitement when building a product feels too safe?

We spend so much energy trying to remove all the stress and uncertainty from launching that we end up killing the fun along with the bugs.

I realized recently that I planned every single detail of our last release so carefully that there was zero room left for surprise or joy. Everything went right, but it felt hollow because there was no skin in the game.

Is 3 minutes too long for B2B self-serve products?

Three minutes feels like a lifetime on the internet today.

If a new user doesn't get a clear win within the first 60 seconds they close the tab and forget you exist. We completely cut out email verification and team invites before onboarding to let people play with the core feature first. Getting them straight into the main workspace cut our dropoff rate significantly.

Have you tried deferring the signup wall until after they perform their first action?
