Vibe Check is officially live, we'll help discover your time to value

To promote our Product Hunt launch of Vibe Check today, we are offering free evaluations. We are looking for Vibe Coded prototypes to promote and discover their time to value. To take part, just share the link and what journey you'd like to test and we'll provide a link and report on your UX performance analytics.

Here's an example for Vibe Tickets

Vote selling on Product Hunt

Every day, after launching, makers are contacted on LinkedIn and X by people offering to sell votes. As the Product Hunt team, we are very much aware of this and really hate it. We have systems in place to neutralize this type of gaming. Every vote counts for a different number of points on Product Hunt. A couple examples:

  • An account with a recently created gmail address and no history of quality contributions on Product Hunt: this vote will count for 0 points. Yes, this might be a well intentioned user, but we take a conservative approach to protect the community. If the account has a company email or applies for verification on Product Hunt, that's a different story.

  • An account with a company email address linked to a legitimate LinkedIn account with a history of meaningful contributions on Product Hunt: this vote carries significant weight.

A couple questions for the community:

  • Are there specific accounts on Product Hunt that you suspect participate in vote selling? You can reply here or email report@producthunt.co

  • What would you want to see us do differently here?

$270,000 sales in just 23 days 😇

Most people talk about don't sell your app with lifetime deal. But let me talk about "Oskar Moen" today who raised $270,000 in just 23 days.

Honestly, no one talk about how to get investment to grow SaaS. Without investment or liquid money its really tough to build SaaS, market that and get users on that. So how you will build or improve your SaaS? So for this kind of situation Founder should sell product as a lifetime deal. Then they can get huge amount of money for their next step. They can invest that on team, marketing and planning.

Get back to Oskar Moen, I salute to this guy . He launched Sendpilot on appsumo recently. And noticed in just 23 days he raised $270,000 and thats insane . I checked his message on appsumo slack channel how he did this.

Here is that:
1. When a user bought deal from appsumo he asked for a review.
2. When a user asked questions or need support he answered that in just 2 mins avg.
3. After support he mentioned about reviews.

I'm founder of SUN (A16z Speedrun) - Ask Me Anything

Hi Product Hunt community, I m Artin, founder of SUN.

Ask me anything about how we got into a16z Speedrun, the product, fundraising, team building, or our Product Hunt launch.

Happy to chat and share what s worked (and what didn t).

Learn by doing, learn by seeing. Now launching Tues March 31st

"Enter any web address! Test any prompt!" PMs and designers more often than not just Freeze when confronted with an empty input box. This has gave us pause. We intended to launch VibeCheck today but we are delaying to build clickable demos showing how teams can compare their results with competitors.
Now that building is so fast, validation is the new bottleneck. Creating your interface and variants may take seconds, but the main challenge remains verifying what your audience can achieve.
Adding demos and canned prompts, helped designers find their rhythm on our Figma plugin. We need to do the same on the web interface to help PMs and Founders 'learn by doing', but also 'learn by seeing' on web URLs.
Since we can only launch once a quarter on PH, we've pushed our Vibe Check launch back to March 31st, launching with demos

We almost shipped the wrong design. 🤦‍♂️

~2x faster conversion while the others designs all floundered. That was the result of simulations doing the talking while building password only access for Vibe Check instead of arguing in circles.

"Failing" designs cost the collective time of every user and then again by a Product team working on needless iterations. We ve baked this simulation first mindset into our new tool, Vibe Check. We launch on Product Hunt next week! Support us and ensure actual conversion on your next product designs.

Vibe check: Instant UX Benchmark, launching 31st March

Velocity is breaking out of Figma! 'Vibe Check' benchmarks the live web, no plugins needed. Lovable, Make, Claude code all supported. A/B test a bunch of designs or competitors. Velocity has cultivated a great community of designers and PMs as a Figma plugin, but recently design has evolved outside of Figma alone. We are extending the options for improving your earliest prototypes by porting the same great time-to-value reporting to the web.

Calling all PMs and designers to discover the time-to-value on their most important journeys starting on Wed 25th March.

What makes you click into a Product Hunt launch?

There are so many launches on Product Hunt every day. How do you decide which ones are worth clicking into?

What s your #1 filter or shortcut?

How do you decide what features should be free and what should be paid?

Let me start from the creator s perspective:
I personally don t have a product (apart from hiring people for creative work or offering personal consultations).

But as a creator, I constantly share content, insights, and information, value that helps me build trust (for free). Based on that perceived expertise, people eventually decide to work with me (a paid service).

A request to share your Vibes 🔗...

Might anyone have some open URLs of their Vibe coded prototypes on Lovable / V0 / Bolt / Figma Make or Claude Code? I'm looking for some prototypes without logins to test a new version of our product which we'll be announcing next week. I'd like to check it on some existing Vibes.

Bonus points if you have a task for me to user test for you, I'd gladly share feedback.

Journey to verify a dream, will it end up to be a nightmare?

Me and my partner have been dreaming to build a tech company for a long time. We wait for 30 years to have the courage because being a professional with a steady income was a high barrier to cross and more importantly, we have a family to feed. Then we invested patiently in tech companies and finally got FIRE. And here we are started our journey to verify our dreams. We have built our first app, which was an Instagram like photo app that verifies copyright with NFT. It is still sitting on the Apple app store with 56 users. It was a failure because users are not actively uploading pictures, and we have difficulties to reach out to photographers and artists, who are our target users. Then we started to build "Media-ana", a deepfake detection tool, which will be launched on Product Hunt on Friday. This is a beta version and we still need a lot of feedbacks to improve the product.

After diving right from a tech investor to a tech developer, I found developing is not the crucial part, distribution is. Finding the right users (persons/entities) are contacting them are the most difficult part. Let me know what you think.

Should you add a shoutout to your Product Hunt launch?

tldr: yes. Shoutouts are one of the simplest distribution levers on Product Hunt.

Shoutouts are meant to pay it forward and highlight the tools that helped you build. But beyond goodwill, they create durable distribution for your product on Product Hunt and across LLM driven discovery.

When you shout out a product during launch, it becomes a founder review on that product s page. Founder reviews sit above regular reviews and include a link to both your profile and your product. That means your product is now attached to every future visit to that product s review page, long after launch day. For example, check out @timliao s shoutout of @Framer or @guymanzur s shoutout of @Base44

What are you building, and what does your stack look like?

I am a Computer Science student doing research into how solopreneurs and small startups create new apps and what their stack looks like. Particularly, I'm interested in how you handle things like authentication, billing, and permissions/authorization in your apps.

Let me know what you're working on below and how you're going about it -- I'd love to connect for some quick calls to learn about your product and talk about your process in building it!

When your launch gets crickets, how do you cope?

We launched a product on Product Hunt today. It didn t go viral, and that s okay. We re treating it as a chance to ask something we all face:

When you ship something and almost nobody seems to care, how do you handle it?

  • How do you keep from going down the rabbit hole? And how do you separate the product s not good enough from nobody s seen it yet ?

How much do you trust AI agents?

With the advent of clawdbots, it's as if we've all lost our inhibitions and "put our lives completely in their hands."

I'm all for delegating work, but not giving them too much personal/sensitive stuff to handle.

Limited Vision Simulations in Beta

1 in 4 have some form of sight loss, so Product Hunt teams may be curious to experience their designs through Velocity blurred vision simulations now in open Beta: https://blog.appvelocity.io/blur...

🔥 Drop your tagline and I'll try to guess what your product is

A tagline is the first piece of content a user will see about your product on the leaderboard. It's so important that you get it right. You should be able to get a really solid idea of what your product is just by reading a handful of words.

In the spirit of forever optimising our taglines, I wanted to do a little experiment:

End of early bird pricing next week

Heads up, we are increasing our pricing next week. Our early bird is coming to an end. Over 1k users have joined before we increased pricing. We won't raise pricing on anyone who got a previous deal. www.appvelocity.io
