Should brands measure AI visibility separately across platforms?

A brand might appear regularly in ChatGPT recommendations while showing up less frequently in Gemini, Perplexity, or Google AI Mode.

Each platform uses its own retrieval systems, available sources, and methods for generating answers. As a result, the same question can produce different brand recommendations depending on where someone asks it.

The Version of Me That Would Have Hated What I Built

I found an old notebook last week. From before I started any of this. Full of ideas about what I wanted to build and how I wanted to build it.

The person who wrote that notebook had principles. Strong ones. He believed in doing things a certain way. He had opinions about what was right and what was cheap.

Library I regretted adding within a week

I added a dependency last month because it solved a problem in twenty minutes. Saved me a day, at least.

A week later I needed to change one small behavior in that dependency. Not a big change. A small one. And the library was not built for it. So I forked it, and now I maintain a fork, and the fork is slowly drifting away from the original.
