Did scrubbing your newsletter list actually land more emails in the main inbox?

Keeping an unengaged email list just to hold onto high subscriber counts almost killed our deliverability.

Inbox providers started marking our broadcasts as spam because thousands of people were completely ignoring them.

We finally set up a quarterly cleanup campaign and removed anyone who hadn't opened an email in half a year. Not only did our open rates double but our actual sales from regular updates saw a noticeable boost.

Have you ever done a massive email list purge, and did it help your domain reputation or hurt your reach?

DungeonQ 0.14.0: inspect a lost write reply before retrying

Following Theodor s question on the previous walkthrough, I added a concrete interrupted-write case and a read-only recovery path.

What changed:

The operator can distinguish a verified canonical commit, an authenticated no-effect refusal, an unknown outcome and a conflicting request identity.

The participant and standalone MCP consumer can recover an already-saved result without sending another write.

We hid our requested feature. No one noticed the feature.

For six months our users kept asking for an export to PDF option. We changed our plans. We spent three weeks building the export feature. To keep the dashboard simple we put the button inside an advanced settings menu.

We checked the analytics for two months. Out of 4000 users three people clicked the export button.

The export feature turned out to be unnecessary, for users. They only wanted to feel safe knowing their data could leave if they needed it. They never actually used the export. We spent three weeks building a psychological safety net, not a feature.

Has anyone else ever built an export feature just to reassure users? something they thought people wanted. No one ever touched the export.
