Congrats to @albertsantalo and the 8base team for launching Archie! I've tested Archie's ability to serve as a co-pilot in the pre-dev stage and it's incredibly helpful. Every founder and product team should use Archie as a resource in the pre-dev stage. Superpower. Not every product hunt launch calls for an Aristotle quote, but this one does: "The least initial deviation from the truth is multiplied later a thousandfold." Getting things wrong in the pre-development stage, even things that don't seem like a big deal, is multiplied later a thousandfold. Archie drastically reduces the chances that you'll have those initial deviations. Congrats again to the 8base team. Onward!

@albertsantalo @shelby_stephens Love the Aristotle quote and could not agree more. Building awesome products requires at least 5,000 little decisions and any deviation from the path can dictate the success or failure of the product. At a minimum, delays, cost overruns and massive disappointment. Archie allows us to deliver a 100% spec for the first time since the dawn of computing 70+ years ago -- all made possible by generative AI and the work our team has done to build Archie.

@albertsantalo @shelby_stephens No doubt, Shelby. I've lived that pain all too many times and it's brutal. For Founders, articulating a vision into a product can be brutal and frustrating. How many iterations and how much cost and time is required to get things right? What does that do to your ownership in the company. What does that do to your family when you are going without pay waiting to launch, secure product-market fit and make money. What does it cost your company when you are working to secure funding to pay for these efforts rather than focus on customer needs? For larger companies similar problems exist with execs putting their careers on the line to roll out new products.

@albertsantalo @shelby_stephens Love this feedback Shelby, thanks so much. It's true, so much is needed from the planning, analysis and design stages that often steps or diligence is overlooked. We try so hard to keep the project in the "on time, on budget, error free" triangle that things slip. @mike_cuesta1 One of my favourite sayings when it comes to AI is that "You won't be replaced by AI, you'll be replaced by someone who knows how to use AI to get the job done better and faster." @pavel_bocharov Our Architecture and Planning module is a conversational module with Archie, you start using it by clicking one of the predefined "Generate" buttons and providing context (if necessary), then converse with Archie to make it exactly what works for you. I told Archie to give me a tech stack that facilitates a microservices architecture and got a great response, which I can now fine tune by chatting!

@pavel_bocharov That's a great question. Once your project is unlocked, you can work with Archie in the "Architecture and Planning" module and ask him to assist you in creating a microservice architecture.

The accuracy is ensured by a few things. - Countless hours were spent prompt engineering and experimenting with different LLM's to ensure the interactions with Archie made sense. - Decades of experience on planning and implementation were then used to verify and provide feedback on how Archie was responding. A lot of fine tuning prompts happened here as well. - Most importantly though, our Architecture and Planning module is designed to be a conversation with Archie, just like you would have with a typical Product Architect. Archie has the full context of your project at it's virtual fingertips, so you can chat back and forth with Archie on what it provides you to ensure your final results are exactly what you need.
