This is quite creative. It is in line with the pair programming we devs sometimes use to our mutual advantage in our sprints especially now given the WFH scenarios. This will help the candidate move away from the typical interview environment and eventually he may be able to put his or her dev skills to test better. Also this will help the interviewer to asses the candidate more on his dev skills and less on his resume.
