Thank you for building this. Climate action is something that I personally deeply care about. It's good to see so many companies rising in this space. Stellar design and UX. One thing I'd have wanted was to skip the gmail link and maybe input my future trips manually to track. Also, I'm experiencing some performance issues especially on Discover page, probably because of resource heaviness of it on my iPhone 7+. Looking forward to a fix. Regardless, great work team. It's good to see people working for the greater good.

@stopstopping thank you for the kind words. Right now we're focused on giving the most seamless experience to the most amount of people, therefore we only support Gmail. We'll have more onramps into the product and ways you can self document. The app is built entirely in SwiftUI, which is better supported on newer iPhones. We don't have much control over performance on older iPhones.

Glad you're enjoying the product, @stopstopping. As @ebby_amir mentioned, more on-ramps coming soon :)

Entered my number but then saw I need to give access to my inbox. I now can't log out or delete my account. Granting access to my inbox is something I'm not interested in doing. Any plans for manual entry?

@allnick we'll support more onramps into the product soon, but for now we're focused on creating the most seamless experience for the most amount of people.

Hey @andreas_dre @arisawyers is your team hiring? Feel free to add Aerial to Climatebase.org/organizations and add any jobs/internships if you want to attract talent. Also, would love to chat about having your team come give a talk to our cohort of Climatebase Fellows :) --> climatebase.org/fellowship
Andreas Homer
Thank you, @evan_hynes - we'll take a look at Climatebase - it looks awesome!

Bravo. Great work on the product and a much needed solution/service! I love the elegant design and discovery experience to encourage education. It’s great that you can quickly get a quick calculation on travel via receipts... I’ve been studying the space via several corporate sustainability projects and our non-profit event/community in LA www.infinitetree.org β€” this is definitely timely and I’m excited to see the community here grow along with many trees! :)
Andreas Homer
Thanks @erik_haug - looking forward to learning more about Infinite Tree!

Fascinating idea. Would be cool to show potential carbon impact estimates based on hypothetical future policies (I.e. construction of new rail systems, or carbon tax, or higher EV subsidies, etc)
Andreas Homer
Those are awesome ideas, @jamie_gray. Worth exploring for sure, thank you!

@arisawyers @andreas_dre totally aligned with the intent of each one of us doing our bit! Great product and lovely designs! Just that, am not comfortable adding my gmail acct. Would be great if I had the option to enter the info. Is that an option you're looking at adding anytime soon?
Andreas Homer
@arisawyers @andreas_dre @sri_arvitha_a Hi Sri, thank you! Yes, we are working on more onramps into the product. We started with Gmail given it's wide adoption and the seamless experience it offers, but more is on the way. Stay tuned :)

Fantastic, just got it installed. Only problem is my main email with all my flight confirmations is not hosted on Google, so it is only seeing part of my emissions. A thought: what about a company option where we could get a company-wide leaderboard/same as the friend's sharing info PLUS offer a benefit like a X% match to any carbon emissions our employees do?

Love it! Great product!

Sad to say, as someone who works in the environmental conservation space, this appears to be another 'shiny but potentially damaging app'. Sadly offsets tend to mask unsustainable behaviour. The problem isn't that there's too much friction to offsetting, the problem is our behaviours, and not reckoning with the ones which aren't sustainable.
