We're bringing the 5-minute phone call back. It's how previous generations got shit done, had time for 5 meetings before breakfast, rarely misunderstood each other, connected with the world, and called strangers for help—with energy to spare for the evening.

This reminds me of what @1dolinski is building with Vibehut.io (have nothing to do with it). But interesting to see several apps working in the space to create a more meaningful and 1-1 connection.

congratulations on the launch. Just a question - how did you onboard such authentic users onto your app?

@reha_santiago We've been privileged to have made a lot of great partnerships with existing communities, who were looking for a ways to expand their existing network and stay more connected. We've also always tried to build the product in a way that would help us make meeting the most exciting people easier. Switchboards came from the idea of networking, and how could we rethink it from the ground up in a way that would make better connections in less time. Butt Dial was inspired by old school products like Chat Roulette.

I think a lot of people genuinely wish they could be more accessible to support others – we all have unanswered emails and DM's asking us for our help and advice, but we seldom have time to take all those meetings. Anyone is a great tool to turn those messages into conversations by jumping on a five-minute call.

Long live the age of the telephone. May all emails and meetings become 5-minute calls. Imagine all the time we’d rescue. I’ve definitely had days of back-to-back meetings that could have been replaced with a few targeted calls with the right people. The next time anyone searches for some academic topic online — try a call with an expert instead. Every big company should have something like this for new joiners — meet new people for quick chats over shared interests. How can a small business owner afford not to be on here? Bravo Anyone team!
