We're bringing the 5-minute phone call back.
It's how previous generations got shit done, had time for 5 meetings before breakfast, rarely misunderstood each other, connected with the world, and called strangers for help—with energy to spare for the evening.
Love the idea of a butt dial!
This gives me Lunchclub vibes, but the thing I found difficult about Lunchclub is that it would ask me 'would you like to be connected to a person like this?' as part of it's training and then it would never connect me to that person. So I like the fact that Anyone let's you star profiles for a notification when they're on and using the app.
The other thing I also struggled with Lunchclub was that the AI would try to match you to relevant people, but if they weren't available at the time you pre-selected, then you could get matched with some very random people and the conversation struggled as a result. Finding 30mins at the right time to connect with the right people can turn out to be tough, but I can see how it's much easier to find a serendipitous 5mins to connect with someone relevant when you find a moment.
Hell this is something I could do on my drive to and from my child's daycare easily! Good work guys, looking forward to being user.
@emilycraven Thanks so much for the thoughtful feedback, Em! Indeed, committing to 30 minutes is a big ask, and if someone cancels, it's a terrible user experience. We find that five minutes really lowers the barriers to jump into conversation with many different people.
@emilycraven hope to speak soon! I take calls during nursery run everyday :)

Congratulations to the entire team for a successful launch!
Very interesting idea and I will be sure to check it out.
As part of your alpha, and beta tests, do you have any success stories or highlights from the conversations? Would love to know how you are trying to validate product market fit.
Cheers!
@narenbhandary It's been an incredible journey. Our first MVP was an expert network, we then found that "advice" resonated better, and finally that the reason most called for advice was actually to network.

@narenbhandary Thank you for the kind words, and checking Anyone out.
@narenbhandary I think the biggest highlight was when we realised that most of our early users really wanted to talk to peers rather than experts or celebrities. It makes sense; when setting out to achieve something, you want to talk to someone who's just 2-3 years ahead of you on the same journey. This idea of talking to your past or future self is so powerful – almost like a time machine.

Huge fan here! Super useful because of the top people on the platform - it's like a cheat code for networking and solving the latest problems I'm trying to figure out
This is an amazing tool to get insights from real people knowing their subjects. Imagine having a tool to contact people in the know, people who actually use a product or have the know-how of a subject without wondering whether a review is a paid ad. This is that exact tool. Real knowledge from real people in 5 minutes.
Great app, even better founder, Anyone has helped me reach business owners, titans of industry and investors all helping us to get where have come today with our start-up.
Love this idea. "Democratizing information" is something the world could use more of. A great-looking product that makes it easy to get in touch with all different types of experts.
Amazing idea! I love it! It is a great way to connect as we did years ago - it has doubtlessly own essence of beauty and value, and I am sure it will bring many benefits to users, as well as an interesting experience! Congratulations on the launch! 😊🥳🎉👏
