Aqua Voice - Incredibly fast voice input for Mac and Windows

Aqua is super fast AI dictation that lets you talk into any text field -- Cursor, Gmail, Slack, even your terminal. It starts up in under 50ms, inserts text as fast as 450ms, and has state-of-the-art accuracy. Write 4x faster anywhere with Aqua. 🌊

I have tried many AI speech-to-text apps on my Mac, and this is by far my favourite. I love the streaming feature, which allows you to correct and add to text before pasting. The speed and accuracy of transcription are also very impressive. Response to support questions is swift and detailed. Thanks for an excellent app.

@gussilber Thank you gus!

I've been using Aqua for any non-trivial amount of writing since they launched basically. It's amazing. No typo's, gives my hands a rest and un-intrusive when you don't want to use it.

5/5 Stars, would dictate again

@mathias_vagni Thank you!

I'm curious to know how it is different from the Mac's default dictation feature.

@adithyan_rk It's just like it, but if it was awesome, fast, smooth and smart (:

@adithyan_rk Our word error rate is an order of magnitude lower, if not more.

I've been really enjoying using this! I think the thing I love the most is the double tap of the function key to unlock the longer dictation mode.

As I've been using dictation apps more and more, it's become the main way I input information to the computer, and it's great and very intuitive for short snippets, but for longer snippets, it's quite difficult for me to write when I can't see what I'm writing. I really like the mode that Aqua has here, and it's also really cool to see how the previous version of the app, which was more of a document editor, has inspired this more seamless input.

It seems like Aqua still has one of the most useful traits of the previous version of the app, which is that it understands your intent quite well, whether you intend to dictate or you intend to edit.

Nice work @finn_brown and team!!!

@rajiv_ayyangar  Thanks, Rajiv The speed focus was really an all-in approach from start of time to short sessions to responsiveness on very long things. Glad you're liking it.

I'm a big fan of Aqua! I've been using it for maybe a week now, and it is definitely faster than all the alternatives I've tried. I was very skeptical initially because I've used many others, and I thought they were all pretty good. But after going through it and trying it, it actually is so much better than all the alternatives that I cannot live without it now! I was having troubles with it at some point, and I was actually so sad because I had to go back to some of the alternatives, and it was a noticeable difference! (yes sent with Aqua)

Many services today already offer built-in voice input features.
In what ways do you think Aqua stands out compared to those?

Finn Brown

@kay_arkain If you use Mac OS dictation or Windows voice typing for anything, you know that it's basically unusable.

The accuracy is poor and it has no true "intelligence". There are lots of homebrew projects that are well-meaning but don't take voice to the next level and make it so you want to USE it.

30 seconds into using Aqua, you should notice three things:

  1. speed.

  2. accuracy.

  3. flexibility.
