I’ve been excited about this feature for a long time. When we think of modern software, names like Cron, Superhuman and Linear. They’re super performant and have a really lovely UI. That’s because a talented team of builders have put a TON of thought into crafting something you’d really enjoy using. No one has built a unified interface for your company operations work, though. This kind of thing is usually a composite of spreadsheets or custom coded solutions, which means users have to switch between a hodge podge of products - and the end result is nowhere near as nice as something you’d expect from modern software. Dashboards are the next step in this direction. We’re bringing all of your team’s key metrics directly into the interface they use for their daily operations work - which means they’re almost certainly going to actually view them more often. Basedash is going to become the default operating system for company operations. If you need to carry out a workflow that’s tied to your data, you’re going to do it within Basedash. Which means a lot more features like this are going to follow over the next few months.

This is a great addition! Will Dashboards be customizable for each team to display the specific metrics they need, or will it be a standardized template for all teams?

We wanted to make sure that every team in Basedash would be able to pin and track just what matters to them, while also making it so that developers don't have to spend any time maintaining or setting them up. Our dashboards are made up of the views, segments, and queries that each team defines, so the types of data you focus on is totally up to you!

@a007mr like @tomjohndesign said, the big focus is on customizability! A big focus of this new feature is to make it way easier to set up the custom reporting that most teams want their colleagues to have access to, without all of the complicated set up and waste of engineering resources it might otherwise take. Excited to hear what you think!
