What a great idea! Do you think this could expand to new markets as well, say for instruments/garden supplies/ etc, if given enough time and resources? Adding Beni to my to my toolbar now!

@daniel_elkin yes! this is definitely on our radar / in development. we have people mostly asking about furniture and gear, but we'll look into instruments and garden supplies if there's interest there

@jeffrey_kung yes! Beni searches 25+ of the leading resale sites including eBay, The RealReal, Vestiaire Collective, Rent the Runway, and many more!

I love Beni!! It's definitely minimized the cost and footprint of my online shopping addiction already, and I can't wait to follow along as you all continue to improve the product. Are there any plans to expand filtering options to include price? I definitely am most compelled by great deals, even if they're not necessarily on the exact item I'm browsing. E.g. if I was looking at a dress on Saks website and I could filter my Beni matches to show dresses that are listed at "x% or more off" the price of that dress, I would personally find that super helpful, even if none of the matches were the exact dress (w the exact OG retail price) I'd been looking at.

@nika_shclover Yay! We love that we can help make your shopping habits more sustainable. 🙂 That is a great recommendation and we have gotten similar feedback from other users. We are working on a better way to more accurately display price of secondhand alternatives and can definitely factor in a filter component to that. @nika_shclover thanks nika! that's a great question - we currently have a 'sort by price' feature instead of by relevancy, but we can def put in some filters!

I love this. As a reluctant shopper driven by value, Beni feels like a perfect way to save some precious time and $$. What does the resale marketplace landscape look like outside of the US and are there any plans to expand abroad in the future?

Beni works with 27+ partners and although we are currently focussed on growing our presence in the US, we partner with several international marketplaces like Vestiaire Collective that have a heavy presence in both the US and EU. Our plan is to continue to work with as many recommerce marketplaces to offer our users the best secondhand alternatives and we see that expanding internationally in the new year. We look forward to sharing those plans with our user base when the time comes!
