Bitrise Build Hub - GitHub Actions runners that build 2x faster for your agents

by•
Coding agents push more code, so your CI runs more builds than ever. GitHub's runners are slow, so every extra build sits in the queue and your team waits with it. Bitrise Build Hub runs those builds on the newest Apple Silicon and high-core Linux instead: 54% faster on iOS, 31% on Android. PRs come back in minutes, and your app ships sooner. You keep GitHub Actions. Changing one line in your workflow is all it takes to run on the best runners made for mobile.

Hey Product Hunt team,

I have been working with Mobile teams for a while now, and they have had to be satisfied with CI infra that's built for web teams. Not anymore.

Build Hub gives mobile teams on GHA, autoscaling M4 Pro runners (M5 Pro / M6 coming soon) for iOS build and test jobs, with the ability to burst during peak capacity needs. With managed build stacks! Xcode 27.2 beta is already available in Build Hub. Not just mac, Linux machines too. Plus build cache.

What Build Hub offers is a vertically integrated build platform for faster, reliable builds. It's easy to try: get a trial, set up the pool, and change the runs-on line in the GHA yaml.

See you on Build Hub!

Thank you 🙏 Also Naveen made the longer demo video on Build Hub for everyone interested:

Hey Team, congratulations on yet another great launch! 🚀

Your benchmark numbers look impressive, but could you share more about where they come from?

 Tony, thanks for your support!

The iOS number is on Xcode 26.3, GitHub's M2 Pro against our M4 Pro, 54% faster.

The Android number is the for Android app with a Gradle assemble, 31% faster on fewer cores.

✅ Both benchmarks are open source, so you can run them yourself. Most teams see x2 faster builds versus GitHub-hosted runners, but your project will differ. That's what the speed challenge is for. Point it at your own slowest builds and see how much they can improve :)

Congrats, team. What if I’m using Jenkins for running my client builds (it’s still used in bigger companies :). Can I use Build Hub instead?

At the moment Build Hub doesn’t support Jenkins integrations, but it is on our roadmap. You can try out in the meantime.

Jenkins is on the roadmap to discuss. If there is serious interest, ping and let's chat.

That's so handy. It makes sense for developers to keep their GitHub Actions config there (if they're happy with it). Just run it on faster machines. Mobile builds need better hardware first. So that's a great start. With Bitrise pipelines, devs can go even further when they're ready.

, thanks for your comment, we are are very proud of our cutting edge macOS hardware we provide.

Hello, and congrats on the BH launch from your local tech writer 🎉

Real quick question!⚡️ When it comes to speed, how fast do you get new Xcode versions after Apple ships them?

within 24 hours we provide the Stack with the Xcode beta or GA version 👍

Congrats on the launch, team! This is such an exciting time! I’m really happy to see that we (Bitrise) open up our platform to a whole new audience. It’s especially great that co-located build cache is available from day one. I know it made a huge difference for Bitrise CI, and now GitHub Actions users get to benefit from it as well.

 Thanks for your support!

+1 on caching. I'd suggest to try Bitrise Build Hub + Bitrise Build Cache together. The runners and the build cache storage sit right next to each other (same DC, same network), so your Gradle, Bazel and Xcode builds get cache hits with no egress, faster and more reliable than if you'd use a 3rd party build cache with GHA.

I got a question form my mobile team - if my team is using multiple Xcode versions, how can Build Hub support that?

You can create multiple machine pools, each of them needs to define the machine type and the virtual machine image to be used. A single VM image contains multiple Xcode minor versions. See details

Thank you for the question,!

We are rolling out Xcode support within 24h to our stacks and we are supporting tons of versions in parallel. You can actually take a look here:
Your team can easily switch between these stacks for the different builds and workflows, depending on what they need.

The best part of Build Hub is that you have a wide range of options to choose from AND older versions of Xcode and macOS are also supported for the longest time in the industry. So you can go back and test without reinstalling your laptop :)

Btw 🏃‍♂️ we are also pushing to offer M5 Pro and M6 Mac Mini Runners soon.

Huge kudos to the Build Hub team!

How difficult is the transition from a different vendor and how much time does it normally take?

setup takes 5 minutes, given that you only need to change to run your Github Actions jobs on Bitrise Build Hub machines.

Congrats! Pretty cool runners. but how does Build Hub ensure a secure setup?

 Thanks for your support 💜

Build Hub is built with the security rigor that Bitrise applies to or . The platform undergoes regular external penetration tests, as well as internal ones, our security team is constantly on the lookout for new vulnerabilities. Especially in the AI era this is crucial.

The external penetration tests and security review includes ones initiated by some of the largest financial companies, banks and fintech companies, who use Bitrise to build on.

We also adhere to strict compliance SOC2, which is available upon request in our compliance portal
