Chartbrew is an open source platform where you can query all your data sources to create and share interactive client reports for your team and other stakeholders.
V2 comes with lots of new features, a redesigned UI, and a fresh new logo ☕️
Hey Product Hunters!
It's been a while since launching something over here, but I'm very proud to share that Chartbrew v2 is now out.
After almost 2 years of work since the initial launch, the product has changed and improved tremendously. Onboarding the first paying users helped a lot with the focus and direction of Chartbrew.
So let's go over some of the things added since v1:
✅ Fully customizable client reports with sharing and embedding capabilities
✅ Firebase Realtime Database integration
✅ Firestore integration
✅ Google Analytics integration
✅ Customer.io integration
✅ Dashboard templates (community & custom)
✅ Direct link sharing for individual charts
✅ Shiny and modern new UI
✅ Dark Mode support
✅ New onboarding sequence
✅ Strapi plugin to bring your Chartbrew dashboards directly to the Strapi admin view
✅ Excel & PDF exports
✅ Formulas
✅ Exposed chart filters for viewers
✅ Different authentication methods for API connections
✅ Elaborate automatic pagination support for API requests
✅ Granular project access within a team
✅ Introduced table views and Polar, Radar, and doughnut charts
✅ Chart + KPI view, including growth calculation
✅ Official Docker images for self-hosting
...and this just scratches the surface.
If you plan to try Chartbrew, now is the best time! Use code PRODUCTHUNT20 during checkout to receive 20% off for the first 6 months of your subscription. Chartbrew also comes with a 30-day free trial so you will have plenty of time to try it out to see if it's a fit for your company.
I'm going to read all the feedback so please let me know what you think! ✌️
Cheers,
Raz
@alessandro_valentini Hey Alessandro! I'm not keeping up-to-date with the tools you mentioned, but last time I checked, Chartbrew has a more advanced custom API request support, Firebase Realtime Database, and Firestore. The reports feature in Chartbrew is also much different because it allows custom CSS, colors, and logos for branding and can easily share, password-protect, and embed reports on other sites. But as I was saying, maybe things changed with other tools. I'm too focused on my customers' needs now to follow what others are doing haha

@razvanilin Thanks for replying! I'm not having a go at Chartbrew, it's just that as a marketing lead I always had the issue of collect-prepare-visualise data, and most tools basically do the same thing. The real difference is in the amount of connectors available out of the box and how fast you can go from connection to visualisation. It sounds like Chartbrew is more suited to teams that can at least do a bit of coding.
@alessandro_valentini Oh no, I wasn't thinking you were having a go at Chartbrew 😁 It's a valid question, especially for people that have been trying other products or trying to decide on which one to go with.
I personally don't use competitor products and don't follow what they are doing (contrary to what a business school would tell you haha), so I'm usually unsure what the main differences are.
About half of Chartbrew's integrations require knowledge about SQL or about APIs at the moment, although I'm focusing on moving away from this with all the new integrations that are being added. Good examples of this are the Firebase and Customer.io integrations which are completely no-code. The templates feature also helps with the speed a user will get to the visualization. More templates are added all the time too :)
Really great product you've built here, @razvanilin — congrats on the launch today! 💯
It's great to see a maker re-launch a product after spending the time to incorporate feedback, fine-tune value prop, and focus on what users are really looking for.
Also want to say that I love your Pricing page, which allows users to adjust their resource allocation (to toggle prices). I've never seen that before and think that's such a good user experience! Makes your product feel so flexible to each user's unique use case. Congrats again 👏🚀🤝
@hugh_lagrotteria Appreciate the feedback, Hugh! 🙏 The pricing slider was added after receiving quite a few emails about fine-tuning the pricing for different use-cases. So I'm hoping the issue is fixed with the sliders haha
