Today we're launching Benchmarks in ChartMogul, so you can compare your SaaS's performance against your peers 🔥 We’ve become pretty good at analyzing and sharing insights into the SaaS industry and continue to have folks share our research and reports online. More and more, our customers have been asking us to build these insights natively into our Subscription Analytics Platform. So we did. 🚀 ChartMogul Benchmarks gives you an up-to-date view of what good growth and retention rates look like. You can also overlay your own SaaS metrics and see how your Year-over-Year growth + net/gross/logo retention stack up against other SaaS companies with a similar ARR or ARPA range as you. Here’s what Benchmarks tells us about Q4 2023: growth continued to be hard to come by, with the median recurring revenue YoY growth rate staying fairly flat across most of 2023. For companies under $8M ARR Q4 saw the the median growth rate increase by a few percentage points, whereas for companies over $8M ARR, it dropped slightly. Benchmarks is free by the way, and available for all customers on any plan (even a free trial with no-data in it) right now! We'll be updating Benchmarks each month, so would appreciate your feedback and support.

Congrats! That’s a great idea! It would be really useful to distinguish between VC-backed companies and bootstrapped ones. I bet the numbers would be pretty different.

@maciej_cupial right that's potentially one way to go in the future, right now we just use data that's already inside of ChartMogul platform, enriching the data with VC vs non-VC backed would require us to enrich data from outside, but that is certainly something we could think about.

Congrats! I am a customer of Chart Mogul, and it is very motivating to see my company's performance benchmarked against others. Also, it has a great set of charts; the data is very intuitive and easy to grasp. What I need to be included is the ability to filter benchmarks by company firmographic data. I see that Chart Mogul is already using Clearbit to show company logos, so IMHO that should not be a big deal.

Love this, this is very cool! I just hope you'll be able to show non $ companies in the "time to reach" benchmark. Wouldn't it be possible to apply a simple conversion rate, at least for common currencies such as EUR?

@jo4code agree, we tried to include this in the launch but it’s quite a bit more complex to implement than it seems. We have it on our list
