Chronicle combines AI with taste to help you go from raw thoughts to polished presentations. Designed for serious work: Start with templates, create with AI workflows, and collaborate with your team to shape your ideas into impactful narratives.
Congrats on the launch! I really love the clean and elegant design of your product's interface—it's so sleek and refined. I'm currently testing it and looking forward to the results from the first run. Your concept about presentations resonates deeply with me, and I'm curious about the inspiration behind your brand name and logo—care to share?
@gin_6078 thank you! we really stress about the quality of the design, this means a lot to us!
I'll let @mayuresh_patole and @tejgw answer about the brand name, but to me, the name represents how chronicle is a space for all your stories (whether it be a pitch, a company update, or info you want to share).
When we were thinking of a name of the company @tejgw and I thought it should mean a story - but more than just a boring one. We want stories that people tell to have emotion and impact. Chronicle felt like just the right name. So we went for it :)
@tejgw@mayuresh_patole Thanks for the reply! I really love this word; its rhythm feels so dynamic and aligns with the structured vibe of your interface outputs. It's such a poetic product name that I even looked up its etymology:
In the ancient tongues of Greece, χρονικά whispered of time itself—not mere moments ticking by, but time as a vessel, carrying the weight of stories yet to be told.
@tejgw@mayuresh_patole@gin_6078 oh wow I love that! it definitely emulates the journey we've been on to create chronicle - over 4 years, scrapped a few different versions of the product and built again from scratch.
@clairetaylor Truly happy for you all! Building a product is never easy to get perfect on the first try, which makes every release so important. Wishing your metrics keep improving!
Seriously amazing product, I think everyone in the industry had been deperately waiting for a Cursor for slides, and you just did that. I love the concept, the designs, everything so far. Great job 👏
I tried out Chronicle a few years ago when it was a real-time widget based presentation tool. Even though I didn't personally have a use case for it, I was mighty impressed by the design.
This new version with AI superpowers is even more exciting. I tried creating a pitch deck for withaview.co by submitting only the URL. And buoy, it did a tremendous job pitching the product.
@weirdowizard thanks so much Darshan!
Its come a long way surely. We have worked on a lot of improvements and some fundamental changes too.
Thanks for being an early believer!
@weirdowizard You saw Chronicle back when it was only live widgets and design nerdery, so hearing that the new AI layer nailed a pitch deck from nothing but a URL is music to our ears. Our goal was to keep the craft you loved and add on super-powers that do the storytelling heavy lifting for you.
We’re iterating fast on deeper brand-kit support and multi-source context (think URLs plus docs, briefs, even rough notes), so your perspective is gold. If you spot any rough edges or have feature wishes, drop them our way and we’ll get them on the slate.
Thanks for sticking with us through the glow-up and for putting Chronicle through its paces! 🚀
@jagadeash_s1 thanks a lot.
So many people we speak to said “I am scared of presenting”. We want to make sure everyone feels confident and proud of what they create (and have fun doing it)
@jagadeash_s1 thank you! we hope that you don't feel that performance anxiety the next time you present and that Chronicle has helped ease your anxiety ❤️ I know it's helped me present in different ways (async, face to face, loom recording) and it's so nice to just know that it's going to look good and work.
@jagadeash_s1 Jagadeash, you’ve been in the trenches with us since the earliest builds, so this shout-out hits home. 🙏
If Chronicle is taking even a sliver of the edge off that pre-presentation adrenaline, we’re doing our job. Your early feedback on flow and polish helped shape the version the world sees today.
Would love your take on the new Remix and Storyline updates when you next build a deck, especially any spots where the anxiety creeps back in. The more we know, the smoother we can make that journey for everyone. Thanks for championing us from day one. Can’t wait to see what you create next.
Chronicle looks fantastic – slick design and just the right level of AI help. Love the Remix concept. Definitely trying it next time I’m prepping a presentation. Great work!
Congratulations on the launch! I’ve long overlooked slides, often opting for a simple document instead of making complex effects, so I plan to try Chronicle and see if this process changes anything
@hi_caicai Thanks so much, CaiCai! You've perfectly described why we built Chronicle. That feeling of defaulting to a simple document instead of wrestling with slides is exactly what we want to fix.
We really hope our process changes things for you. Would love to hear what you think after you've had a chance to try it!
Congratulations on launching Chronicle! 🎉 It's inspiring to see a tool that combines AI with thoughtful design to take the stress out of creating presentations. I love how you’re focusing on serious work use cases without sacrificing creativity. Can't wait to try the remix feature!
@alex_cloudstar thanks for the support! Remix is definitely a labor of love and can't wait for you to give it a try! Let us know if we can do anything to improve!

Great idea, but the result from loading a website wasn't very useful. It felt like an AI processing the information with no context - which makes sense.
I do think an ideal use case is to upload a lackluster presentation and to see Chronicle provide a better look. This does seem like a solid solution for somebody who has nothing to get to something that they can build from, but it definitely doesn't seem like a tool to get a truly refined deck out the door. I hope it'll get there soon. Good luck!

@erburgess yeah. Uploading my deck and seeing it improving and having a better look (including right formatting across the whole deck) would be awesome.
@erburgess Hey Eric, thank you for this thoughtful feedback.
You're absolutely right that for AI to create a truly meaningful narrative from a URL, it needs more context than the URL alone can provide. That's a limitation we're actively solving. Soon, you'll be able to provide that crucial context: like your audience, your primary goal, and key takeaways, alongside the link to get a much more useful result.
You also made a great point about getting to a "truly refined deck," which is our ultimate goal. To help us get there, I'd love to ask: in your view, what does a 'truly refined deck' consist of? Is it about the visual polish, the narrative structure, the data visualization, or something else entirely?
Thanks again for helping us build a better product!

I like the AI-driven workflows and smart templates.
Chronicle
@andy_wong4 thanks so much.
We have some really exciting stuff coming very soon on templates that I think you will love. Here is a sneak peek:
Chronicle
@andy_wong4 Thanks for jumping in, Andy! 🙌
Those smart templates are designed to do two things:
1. Cut the blank-slide anxiety: you start with a clear story arc, not an empty canvas.
2. Stay out of the way: once you’ve got momentum, AI-driven workflows like Remix tweak layouts so you can focus on the message.
If you try them on a live project, let us know. Your fresh perspective will help us sharpen the next round of templates and workflows.
Really appreciate the early feedback and hope Chronicle earns a spot in your toolbox!

Presenting something is always scary AF.

Excited to see what the world thinks about this.
