Dawn - Ask the codebase, not the developers

by
Dawn gives your team direct answers about your system, grounded in your codebase, infrastructure, and connected tools. Ask questions from Slack, Teams, or Telegram and get answers based on how your system actually works — without routing everything through developers. Connect your GitHub repos, Linear boards, Azure DevOps work items, Trello boards, Jira tickets. Developers have Cursor, Codex and ClaudeCode. Everyone else now has Dawn.

Hi everyone - Vlad here, founder of Dawn. In most teams, only developers can answer questions about how the system actually works. Everyone else has to ask, and not because the information isn’t there, but because it’s not accessible in a practical way - it’s spread across the codebase, tickets, docs, and people. We built Dawn to remove that bottleneck. It connects to your system (codebase, repos, tickets, documentation) and lets anyone on the team ask questions and get answers grounded in how things actually work - directly from Slack, Teams, Telegram, etc. Developers have Cursor, Codex and Claude. Everyone else now has Dawn. A couple of things we’re actively working on: - Making answers easy to trust (clear references to files, tickets, docs) - Getting teams to their first useful answer quickly - Understanding where this is actually useful vs where it breaks Would really appreciate feedback: - Who in your team would actually use this? - What kinds of questions would you expect it to answer? - Where would you not trust it? Happy to answer anything.
