I think it's not completely natural solution, and gives few advantages compared to a smartphone. Also not sure if people would be keen to use it in general, and especially not now after all the privacy issues and scandals with FB.
Pros:
Could be handy for hands-free communication
Cons:
Don't see why it's better than a smartphone we take with us anyway; not sure if users would like Facebook's cam and mic in the house
I don’t see any at all, it’s yet another device to take up time, Monty, and space that I don’t need
Cons:
It Facebook which I have an account with but don’t ever use and it’s a device that doesn’t solve anyone’s problems at all

Can't believe fb wants us to purchase this when Marc Zuckerberg tapes his webcam on his cellphone to prevent camera recordings. Downright creepy, the first product on product hunt I'm down voting.
Pros: New way to stay connected with those far away.
Cons: New way to stay disconnected from those who are around you.
Pros: nice attention to privacy. People don't trust camera to be switched off, unless it's physically covered.
I just bought 6 Amazon Echo Shows when they went on sale for $129 each. That sale is now over, and glad I bought them. Capabilities of the Echo Show are fantastic, but the MSRP price is way to high, which is why I am thankful I took advantage of the almost 50% off. Comparably, this first iteration of Facebook's hardware is to light on features. If I didn't have the Echo Show, I still wouldn't buy this new Facebook product as it lacks in features. The price point on this new hardware is better than the standard price for Echo Show, but I think the Facebook system needs some further iterations to develop a much better system.
