One of the biggest complaints we heard after working with thousands of reporters is that startups either don't have a press page ready or the pages are too outdated to be helpful. We know it's tough to prioritize the press page as a busy founder, so we made it easy to set up and maintain.
Key feature: automatically updates your press mentions!
Hi Product Hunt! 😻
We’re excited to share with you our simple yet powerful press page builder. One of the persistent problems makers have when it comes to building any of the external facing web pages is that they’re annoying to make and even more annoying to update. However, these external pages are important to the public, especially journalists, whose jobs demand that they work quickly with the latest and most accurate information. Having worked with thousands of journalists through our PR outreach service, we often hear them complain about startups not having their sh*t together in terms of having all necessary information easily accessible in one place…so we made this to help.
Upbeat’s Press Pages are free and you can set one up in a few minutes. More importantly, once you set it up, we’ll notify you when your company gets in the news to automatically update your press page with the latest mentions.
Let us know what you think and share it with a friend who might find it valuable. We’ll keep iterating based on your feedback. Talk to you in the comments.
@swetzequity I always point to you as an example of why you don't need a ton of resources if you have a good story to be successful at PR. A lot of work ahead of us to make that a reality. Hope everything's going well with you!
As someone who has led marketing at several startups, I can share from first-hand experience that the press page can quickly get stale from a lack of updates because there are so many other projects needing attention. (Full disclosure that I back this product from @Upbeat_PR as an angel but that doesn't make what I said any less true, hehe).
@upbeat_pr@tonypham Yeah, these pages quickly get stale and it's not on anyone's priority list except the PR person trying to put the best foot forward for journalists. It's possible we don't need basic static web pages anymore. Each page can be outsourced to something with a network or a backend workflow: blog (Medium), support (Zendesk), jobs (AngelList), press (Upbeat).
@liammckay It's free and it automatically updates with new articles about you because we already have the infrastructure to monitor news. Excited for you to try it out and eager for your feedback!
