I haven't used foursquare for about 5 years wow there has been many iterations over the years, but the company does seem focused on using the data they have accumulated over the years and bringing real value to users. Will download to play around with the app, keep it up!

@marissa_chacko Downloaded app and played around with it, thought I knew my local area however have found some new gems to explore! Some places have reviews dating back to 2009! Regardless I will continue using the app, I do miss the fun elements of foursquare and value of checkins (mayor/deals) but I can also value in this being tips from locals. @troypetrunoff I really like using foursquare; it feels more intuitive to use when saving places. When you're searching for different categories; you can refine your search to only include places you've saved or even places you've never been to ebfore
Gorgeous redesign; this app is such a pleasure to use. I love Foursquare and it's always the first app I go to when I'm in a new place and want to see what's around. Unfortunately I usually have to open Yelp after because it feels like most reviews on Foursquare are from 2013 (or just not recent). I wish more people used it!

I was just thinking about Foursquare and what a shame it is that they aren't one of the prominent social media apps anymore, especially since they were so incredibly innovative when they started out. Nice to see an update like this!
I never could get over the way they scrapped the original product that made them so successful. Splitting into two apps, neither of which I like for a myriad of reasons, was a terrible idea.

Really excited for the forward moves Foursquare and Swarm have made lately. Once they split apps, the magic seemed to disappear, many of my friends left and the fun seemed to die. It's finally making a comeback, and this update is a great push toward the future!

I love Foursquare and use it multiple times a day although not convince with the homepage redesign.
