Frond is a refreshingly simple take on forums. Growing your community here is effortless, fun, and free to start.
Today we are launching Public Communities and a bundle of new features, which make Frond the easiest way to start any type of community. 🐣
Congrats, @jans and team! I'm a community builder primarily for audiences concerned with security and privacy. One suggestion would be to adjust your privacy policy for certain membership levels who do not want data shared with third-parties, or make this something entire communities can opt out of. Good luck, and appreciate how easy your privacy policy is to read!
Seems interesting, but I'll be honest: I'd put the open communities themselves at the front, before any registrations or sign up forms. This way you kinda replicate the successful Reddit formula, but with a more personal twist.
Let the communities do the promotion for you, and either way - congrats with the launch and I wish you reaching the stars quicker - I LOVE some of the design choices you've made in the community management screen itself.
@soomie Good thinking, Vlad. Now that we've launched public communities, we'll likely promote these more, just like you're suggesting! Thanks so much for the support!
@soomie Great suggestion here, thanks for sharing! 🙏

Amazing product 👏 it's great to see your changelog and roadmap presented in such an open format - adds to the trusted/ transparent community element 🙌 I can see myself using this
So it's basically Slack without all the clusterfuck present there. Also curious why limit members to 50 on the free plan? Won't it kind of decrease usability for small creators and reduce the adoption rate?
@vishalreddy21 That's right! We've put a lot of effort into fixing some of the issues with Slack for larger communities. We've found that 50 members is enough to get started for a lot of creators – and we're also a small startup that needs revenue to keep the servers running. :)
@sandradjajic We're adding languages as they're requested by our users, likely Italian and Portuguese being the next ones. Which language would you like us to support?
