Frond is a refreshingly simple take on forums. We’re introducing a slate of new features that make Frond the easiest way to make money with your content and community: host your community on a custom domain, create paywalls, sell courses, and organize events.
Hi everyone!
I am Jan, one of the founders at Frond. The year is coming to a close, but before we wave goodbye to 2023, we’d like to say thank you with our biggest launch yet. We listened closely to your feedback and we shipped a bundle of new features that allow you to not only manage but also monetize your community:
1. Courses: Create, publish, and sell courses
2. Paywalls: Monetize exclusive groups with subscriptions
3. Custom domains: Host your community on a domain you own
4. Events: Create, manage, and discuss community events
We’ve added these features to make Frond the easiest way for creators to make money with their content and community – and we’ve done all this while keeping Frond the simple and lightweight product your community knows and loves.
And while feeling festive, we’re giving all Product Hunt users 25% off their first payment on any plan. Make sure to use this code by Jan 15, 2024: PH2023
Thank you to all our devoted users who contributed their feedback and ideas on our customer community (http://frond.com/frond). We couldn’t be building Frond without you! Here’s to all the amazing communities we’re creating together! 🥳
@jans Congrats on the exciting updates and thank you for the generous discount! 🚀 I'm curious, which feature are your existing users most excited about, and what inspired the decision to prioritize these specific additions?
@patprokesch Thx Patrick! Great question - Gumroad and Substack are valuable players in the creator economy, each filling their own space. Gumroad, in my mind, is wonderful at allowing folks to make individual sales of any kind, while Substack is great for building an audience around a podcast or newsletter. We've found that there is a lot more a creator can do, though: many creators understand that they already have a following waiting to engage more deeply with them. That's why Frond, first and foremost, is a community product (imagine Facebook groups but without Facebook), closely followed by content monetization!
@cryptoved We're looking into crypto use cases very soon! Agree that Frond could help a lot of crypto folks!

Kudos! Your product is excellent. Upvoted and ready to spread the love to friends. Connect with me on here for continuous support on your upcoming launches.
Hey, congratulations on your launch! My only question is this: the prices listed on your website look amazingly low, what is the reason for this? It seems that such a service should cost more or at least charge for each seat, and not for access as a whole.
@panphilov Thanks, Konstantin. Our pricing is set so that it appeals to new community admins who are just getting started with their communities. Down the road, we will likely add another tier (not excluding that this will be per seat) that will capture the other end of the market - advanced or enterprise communities. Hope that makes sense!
