Do you think BARD will take over ChatGPT because it's part of the Google ecosystem and will be integrated and adopted quicker by the mass? Or does ChatGPT already have a considerable headstart?

I can not say it clearly yes or no, but I can provide information based on available data and current technology.
BARD (Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers for Language Generation) is a recently developed language model that was trained on a diverse set of tasks and achieved state-of-the-art results on various benchmarks, including language generation tasks.
However, ChatGPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) is also a powerful language model that has been extensively trained on a large corpus of text data and has demonstrated impressive performance on various natural language processing tasks.
It is difficult to predict whether one model will overtake the other, as the performance of language models can depend on various factors, such as the quality and size of the training data, the computational resources available for training and inference, and the specific task and evaluation metrics used to measure performance.
Both BARD and ChatGPT are powerful language models with unique strengths and limitations. It is likely that both models will continue to be improved and used for various natural language processing applications in the future.

At this rate I don’t believe that they will

I would say yes, the bard will cross the competition between these two.
This can be beneficial if you want more control over how your application works and looks

Google has an enormous data and know how, that is why in mid-term i believe they can create a similar quality product like chat GPT but the real question will be how they will position BARD?
Will it replace google search bar or a gpt-like standalone tool? Will they use their trust score to scramble answers from various websites or how it will be? Will they enable BARD answers benefit from google's data analysis like google trends or popular local searches or will it be static?
I think it could if they present in their products, like Gmail, chrome, meets, etc. ChatGPT presented a really great way that attracted many users. If BRAD will be integrated their product and people will use it daily I think they can overtake it.

Nope probably not. I think it’s a good wedge in google market share.

Its difficult to say without using BARD. Its true that Chatgpt already got a headstart but Google also has their massive database, user data which they can leverage. Tough call
