What are the 5 tools you simply couldn't do your work without?

This could be related to your industry, or even a side project you're working on.

Here are my 5 (I couldn't function without them):

  1. Grammarly – proofreading my texts, not just posts, but also client communication

  2. ChatGPT / Claude – mostly brainstorming, help with copy, and summarising

  3. Figma – I can put the basic graphics together quickly.

  4. Translator – sounds incredibly old-school, but English is not my mother tongue

  5. Gmail – and not only for communication, but also for storing ideas and sending myself email reminders for posts

[and soon one more that I am working on – – prevents me from being banned on LinkedIn, so I will not lose my account.]

My non-negotiable 5:

1. Claude/ perplexity - analysis and research
2. HubSpot - campaigns, email, attribution
3. Figma - asset creation
4. GA4 - performance tracking
5. - targeting and outbound

my 5, mostly backend/infra brain so it skews boring:

claude code - not even exaggerating, most of finly's backend at this point got built with it as a pair programmer

prisma - complain about migrations sometimes but genuinely couldn't run the db without it

redis - rate limiting, locks, caching, doing way more grunt work than people give it credit for

expo - shipping ios and android from one codebase solo is not something i could pull off otherwise

notion - only thing keeping my task list from living entirely in my head

Reading through this thread, my list has also heavily shifted toward AI and automation over the last year:

  1. Claude / Claude Code – Architecture decisions, heavy refactoring, and daily pairing.

  2. n8n – The backbone for all our backend automations and AI pipelines.

  3. Linear – Keeps dev tasks organized with zero bloat.

  4. Figma – Quick mockups and UI alignment before writing code.

  5. Privent – (Full disclosure: co-building this). Once we started heavily automating workflows with LLMs and MCP tools in n8n, data privacy became a massive bottleneck. We use Privent at runtime to mask, tokenize, or block sensitive payload data before it ever hits third-party AI models.

Once you start scaling AI workflows, securing the payload data in real-time quickly becomes non-negotiable!

My 5:

+ Claude, code, cowork everything
+ Clonk ai to use with claude to build
+ Liso app for efficiency with all the info on the internet
+ X has become quickly my favorite social media platform
+ Mac lol couldn't find a #5 so my mac is something i cannot live without

Les miens en ce moment :

  1. Notion : tout mon business tourne dedans. Clients, factures, revenus. J'ai même fini par créer mon propre template financier dessus (BizBuddy 🌷) tellement j'en avais besoin.

  2. Vercel x Supabase : le duo de choc pour déployer vite. Une grande partie de mes SaaS/Apps tournent dessus (notamment le SaaS Epure).

  3. Linear : il gère l'orga de mes tâches de dev sur mes repo.

  4. Claude & chatgpt : brainstorming, copywriting, code. Je l'utilise littéralement toute la journée.

  5. Stripe : un outil fluide pour gérer la paie en paix ;)

Curieuse de tester SafeLimit dont j"ai entendu pas mal parler ces derniers jours (car oui, les limites LinkedIn sont une vraie galère quand on prospecte activement)

Tools that are part of my daily routine, and I cannot skip a single one of them, every single day.

1: Claude - for researching, understanding, and debating ideas and concepts related to my industry or niche
2: Content writing & plagiairms tools - like Grammarly, QueText, Copyscape, Plagiarism Checker AI, and others
3: Devin - for building new pages every single day, or sometimes every two days
4: Google - for checking my competitors and the websites that taught me how SERP works, and which styles, symbols, and emojis users want for social media
5: - my website, which I work on daily to improve it and give users the best font styles

I think the most important tool is the one that helps preserve the human context behind the work.

During my journey building AURELIA and writing the Atlas of Universal Unity, I learned that tools like ChatGPT, Replit, and Cursor can greatly accelerate creation.

They help with analysis, exploration, prototyping, and execution.

But the vision, the questions, and the decisions behind the work must always come from the human.

Tools are powerful, but they are not the source of meaning.

For me, the future is not about using more tools.

It is about learning how to use them with clarity, purpose, and responsibility.

Claude: Mostly Code and cowork these days,

Zoho: imo very cheap and useful

VSCode: still works

Linkedin: For outreach it is very useful and way better than cold mailing

Docker

My five:

  1. ChatGPT / Claude / GitHub Copilot — reasoning, coding, review, and fast iteration.

  2. GitHub — version control, pull requests, CI, and traceability.

  3. Figma / Canva — turning complex systems into clear interfaces and demos.

  4. Docker + OVH — reproducible deployments and infrastructure control.

  5. Airtable + Make — structured operational data and workflow automation.

I’m building BOSAI, a control plane for governed AI execution, so the common thread for me is simple: speed matters, but traceability and human approval matter just as much.
