What do you prefer for marketing? Twitter or LinkedIn? And why? 🤔

I feel on LinkedIn it's easier to get attention. And on twitter it's "expert mode" only unless your a mega star like Elon musk 😅 Side note: I started to organise a gist on "LinkedIn-rate-limits". Check it out if your interested: https://gist.github.com/eonist/6... Drop your insights / opinions bellow. 👇 Thanks 🙏

LimkedIn is for B2B so for me, its not really a viable option

@glenfish I think LinkedIn is becoming more hybrid now. b2c and b2b. I see b2c brands doing both twitter and LinkedIn these days.

For linkedin, would it work for B2C though? Any thoughts here?

Our target audience is tech entrepreneurs building generative AI products. So for us, Twitter works best.

Tough one, twitter is pretty easy to make content but you'll most likely find quality leads/customers on LinkedIN especially for B2B companies

its depend on product's sector. if it's a web3 product, I would definitely prefer Twitter. There's a strong presence of web3 products on Twitter, whereas other products don't attract as much attention. If I'm conducting marketing for a mobile app, I would focus on Instagram targeting the country I'm serving. And if I'm going to launch on Product Hunt, the marketing should be through LinkedIn.

@kke yeah. Cryptos seems to be hot again for a minute 😅

LinkedIn! In all honesty, it's really hard to get serious, value-added content to trend on Twitter/X because you're competing with memes, videos and billion other things. With LinkedIn, you know who you're creating for and the type of content that will speak to them.

I think I would like to keep it simple: Twitter: 1. Quick engagement with a broad audience. 2. Easy sharing of content like blogs, articles, and visuals. 3. Effective for trending topics and hashtags. LinkedIn: 1. Professional networking and B2B connections. 2. Showcase expertise through long-form content and posts. 3. Targeted advertising options for specific industries or job titles.

@shaikrish What's your X username? The one on PH is gone 😅

Andre, firstly - thanks for your hard work on gathering Linkedin doc tips 👍 I worked in big company where we had a lead gen specialists and I heard a lot about all that restrisctions, account blocks etc. Now I do it all myself and do everything manually as do not want to loose my profile. So all that tips really helpful! As for the platform, I'm not an expert in marketing and social media, so thats just my findings so far. I see that many people say that X is really great one for promotion, I restored my acc there and there are really many people talking about digital, tech, etc. But seems to start from 0 is really hard there. Linkedin is more clear for me and more engaging at the moment.

@oxana_ivanova Yup. X is so hard to get started, Only the top dogs gets any attention. I gave up. But I do think I'm going to give it another shot, once Im more top dog looking 😅

@sentry_co yeah 😁 I stopped for now as well, but have in plans to get back to it also, hopefully I will not give up 😀 wish you good luck!!!

It really depends; if you have a large or medium-sized following on Twitter, it's great; however, most people don't, so LinkedIn is definitely better and easier to get a post to become more viral. with that being said, direct marketing on LinkedIn, such as email, is not working on Twitter, but it works less on LinkedIn because most people have a large following on LinkedIn (since it is easier to get that on LinkedIn in), so they're already bombarded by cold reachouts.

try using ReplyGuy with Reddit and Twitter
André J
@alex_bel2 So that's what everyone uses these days 😅
